i read in the allegedly column in the sun today and he wrote cleverly is to fight fr the wbo light heavyweight interim title. but he didnt say when.

Interesting, but an obvious move by allegedly. That "title" is presently vacant. Here's the latest WBO rankings. I wonder who he would fight for it. Isaac Chilemba perhaps?

How come Erdei isn't ranked?

Rankings hardly ever make complete sense.

The other advantage of this move is if Braehmer does get sent down then the Interim Champ would step in.

Pie in the sky stuff but logic would suggest Cleverly would fight the #1, who is Hopkins. Rumours of discontent between Hopkins and Golden Boy according to fightnews.

Hopkins could be available. Warren could try to set up a fight with a big name, who looked bloody awful last time out.

Here is a question.

Is Cleverly the only British fighter to go the "traditional route" to achieve a world title - winning the major stepping stone belts and actually never WIN the title of a champion. Surely the answer is yes to that.

Sad thing is, he is actually good - but it is like no one has faith in him.

Never gonna happen! Bellew looks good but he is a couple levels below Cleverley at the moment.

There was. I saw one guy getting battered. Security turned up and they just threw out the guy who got beaten up, got a cleaner to wipe up the blood and let the attacker sit back down with his group of thug mates. Seemed to me like the security guys knew the attacker and were scared of him.

isn't this how it works:

cleverly moves up, and bellew can fight for the british and european titles when he has the ranking/if the right offer is made?

i don't think it would be seen as good business matching two on the way up, from the same stable.

clev is a level or two above bomber, bellew hasn't fought anybody really and clev cleaned up domestically and got a ebu title, no doubt bomber will be fighting for clev's vacant european title...wazza will make sure of that

I'm guessing it will end up being Isaac Chilemba, he looks like an opponent that would satisfy Warren.

Rumour is the fight will take place at the end of May or Early June in Cardiff.
