Is James Toney being shut out or is he still in the mix ?

I wonder whether James Toney will ever grace the heavyweight scene again ?

Since the contraversial fight with Rahman, Toney, apart from a couple of fights, appears to have dissapeared from the heavyweight scene all together. I have seen some interviews with him, where he says that due to a lack of fights, he is considering the MMA fighting circuit. Toney makes out that he is still on the radar of the "Klitschko Sisters" as he puts it, but no fights are mentioned at all, never mind match ups and against the elites of the heavyweight division. It makes me wonder if James Toney has been shut out for some reason............

I'm not sure who manages Toney or who acts as his promoter, but it seems that he can't get a fight for love nor money. Is he pricing himself out ? Is he unrealistically expecting a title shot, without doing a few top ten fights ? Has he upset the "commission", governing bodies or well placed individuals ? Or is he viewed by the Klitschko's and Haye et al, as being too dangerous to fight ? Toney is a character and whilst his better days are well behind him, i still think he could have a place at the heavyweight scenes top table.

Put it this way, if Audley Harrison is being touted as a future world title challenger, abiet, dependant upon his success at defending his newly acquired European title, then surely the door is still open for James Toney, especially when rumour has it that he is in very good shape

What do you guys think ?
