Classic commentator lines from tonight.

My personal favourite - was Duke McKenzie who apparently studied Kessler religiously for this role states that the only fighter to dominate Kessler was Calzaghe.

Ummm - Andre Ward???

Also Kessler cannot fight on the back foot. It was his early career counter punching was the reason people gave him a chance against Calzaghe.

And what was John Rawling on about "from a British perspective and from a Danish perspective".

Well my other favourites were from the cornerman and the fighters.

Ahead of the last round.

Kessler Trainer "You want to win back the title, right?"

Kessler "Yes".

Kessler Trainer "Well go after this son of a Bitch"!

Froch to Kessler after the fight "Your one Mean Mother f*cker".

After the 1st or 2nd round, "I had it even but we're in Denmark so I've changed it to Kessler." :o

Duke needs a mathematician also.

After every round Duke would say who won the round.

the first four he gave to Kessler... the fifth he gave to Froch.

then Rawling asked - so what is your score total..... .Kessler by 1!!!!!!!!

I lost count of the number of times I said 'Duke, just shut up' during that fight. Added absolutely nothing.

At least Duke has an excuse for his stupidity. Rawling has no such excuse!

The commentary was just plain embarrassing, Duke really shouldn't get the gig, and Rawling was awful to, they really spoiled the fight for me. Schmeichel is no Lineker either is he

agree, it was reaching the stage that it was affecting my enjoyment of the fight. it's just a constant stream of drivel, there is no actual analysis going on at all.

Duke strikes me as a top bloke, who was a cracking wee fighter, but his analysis is total horsew*nk. Rawling is little better.

In heinsight, I should have stuck on the radio alongside the TV coverage.

Terrible night for Duke Mckenzie IMO. He pissed me off from the first to the last bell.

Why not just score the fight how you see it instead of predictng how a hometownjudge will score it

he didnt say that , not really , he added on the end after the " thats not somehing you see often from kessler " he said "triple jab , he usually throws doubles " to be fair you could probably say that for any fighter in the world as im sure anyone would throw more singles and doubles than they do triples , but just wanted to clarify

Rawling was bad. I like McKenzie to be honest.

Nice bloke and in my opinion he was right about Kessler, he cannot fight when you put him under pressure. Froch didn`t keep him under sustained pressure, he let Kessler dictate the pace.

I have watched the fight twice now and I have Kessler winning by one round, two at tops. The 117-111 was a joke. Wanker judge, should be addressed.

Yes, I could not believe I was hearing this. He said he thought Froch won the session but scored it even because they were in Denmark. Outrageous. It shouldn't matter if you're boxing on the bloody moon - this is simply giving credence to other people's supposed bias!

Duke had the fight by two rounds, same as the Italian judge. Tillerman is a jerk, as we all know. So Duke wasn't far off the mark. As for home bias, it is pretty obvious judges are swayed, albeit unwittingly. It worked in Froch's favour in Nottingham. Anyone who can;t see this isn't watching reality and there has not yet been an away win.
Kessler struggled with mobility of Calzaghe and Ward, which Froch was unable to replicate. And it would seem Robert McCracken certainly agreed with what Duke was saying about kessler on the back foot as he repeatedly implored his man to do precisely that, after taking away his jab ... something both commentators were saying.
Great ifght for me. Exciting commentary as well.
