Sherrington just won, fight stopped due to a massive cut on Williams eye,

Sherro was well ahead though, thought the ref was going to step in at times, good performance, congrats to Les :TU:

Leapai calls out Green,

Sherrington calls out Mundine :OhYes:

interesting to see what happens and how they respond

In spite of the size difference I think Green would have too much class for Leapai. Bob Mirovic has done nothing for years. He was ripe for plucking.

thought les sounded very good challenging mundine. but it wont happen, cos mundine wont want to "waste his time with a bum like les sherrington" i think i heard him say that once before, i think it was about a bum named danny, about 6 or 7 years ago....

Green has much bigger fish to fry on the global scale. Leapai is a no body on the world stage so why on earth would Green waste his time....

maybe because this is why -

FOXSPORTS & COURIER MAIL - "Right now Greeny could knock those Klitschko brothers, the Russian heavyweights, cold," Hyder insists.

"Honestly, I've held the pads for Aussie heavyweights like Bob Mirovic and Kali Meehan - none of them have his power. Right now, Dan's hitting harder than any fighter I've ever been involved with . . . his left is harder than any Aussie heavyweight's right."

SMH Papers - "Trainer Angelo Hyder is now keen for Green to throw his hat into the heavyweight ring, but the 37-year-old remains unconvinced – despite claims that boxing legend Evander Holyfield may be interested in a meeting with the WA champion."
Hyder said heavyweight could be an option for Green.
"If he is disappointed (with the win over Siaca) ... he has to go to heavyweight – in my eyes there is no cruiserweight in the world that can go with him," Hyder said.
"He is going to knock them all out, as soon as he hits any of them clean."

DAILYTELEGRAPH - Green last night hinted he may upgrade to heavyweight after retaining his IBO world cruiserweight title with a third-round knockout of Puerto Rican Manny Siaca at a sold-out Challenge Stadium in Perth.

ESB - The Green Machine's" inability to lure Bernard Hopkins into facing him, it's possible the tough guy could make the move up to heavyweight.

Hyder explained how he has advised his warrior to go up in weight.

"I've suggested he fight at heavyweight," Hyder said. "From my eyes, there's no cruiserweight in the world that can go with him, he's going to knock them all out. I think he could beat David Haye. And [Evander Holyfield] approached us before this fight."

and the list goes on he also mentioned it after the siaca fight he has so much power.

Hyder should concentrate on Cruiser, it's one thing to say no cruiser could go with him, but Greeny needs to prove it, as of now, alls we know is that Vea wouldn't pose a threat, we've seen what he can achieve at LT Heavy, lets see what he can do at cruiser.

3 solid fights while unifying, it's what Green hasn't achieved yet.

He can do what ever he wants after that, but he's getting on and that window will close soon.

If he was to fight Evander, he would end up nothing more than a side show, Greens team needs to get a grip and concentrate on getting Green the right fights that will matter.

Leapai needs fights with Solo, De mori and Cameron and then fight a world class opponent.

Green needs to silent his team and the media, before he's turned into a circus freak.

If Leapai is serious he should challenge Meehan.

his brother leati posted they put the challenge out to Cameron last year after the tua fight and this year in February and meehan aswell had no reply but they are sticking to plan that Germany is after alex so its one step at a time slowly build himself to the Worldstage,i agree stick to plan and make that move to germany haumono (sparring mates) & demori fight will never happen. :TU:

Cool then Leapai better not risk getting KO'd himself? Danny Green has some massive pay days awaiting if he fights the right "named" opponents overseas. If he really wants to make a mark for himself and make some mega bucks-- then fight David Tua late this year after he is done with (Tua) his free to air deal. That's if Danny is serious about getting in to the heavy weight division and fighting legit heavies....

Neither will come to anything because they quite simply do not make sense.

But that shouldn't be encouraged. Mundine is moving towards an international opponent finally and could possibly fight overseas at last.
Sherington needs a lot more fights against the jam packed Australian supermiddles.

I'm surprised i'm that interested as well  I think i would of supported Mundine if he done this 4 or 5 years a go.

I use to go to Aussiebox and secoundsout for my Aussie boxing news, but Aussiebox has'nt updated it's site in months, and Secoundsout Australian link has been telling my computer that it has dionogstic problems so i can't access it.
Anyone know where to get the Aussie boxing scene news.

It's obvious alex needs to go overseas, congrads on the win over mirovic,European based faster moving opponents may give alex some trouble's,working on that with haumono should help, don't expect a points decision, anyway keep it up alex,CHEERS!
