Eusebio Pedroza and his Kung Fu DeBox

Now that I finally got around to reading about Eubanks 45 degree decapitation uppercut, I wondered how many here remember the "Kung Fu DeBox" techniques that Pedroza learned before the Lockridge fight? Was it more lethal than Eubanks 45 degree uppercut? While it didn't appear so in the fight, my guess is that Pedroza held back because he didn't want to kill Lockridge, and Lockridge didn't beat him up bad enough to warrant using his newly learned killer techniques.

Remember we're talking potentially fatal techniques here, so serious discussion only please.

in ireland it is one of boxings least well kept secrets.
The night Barry mcguigan took pedrozas title .

Pedroza had realised he had been champion for 7 years and just as he was having his hands wrapped in the dressing room, knowing it would be another easy nights work, he was suddenly disturbed by a old and wretched looking chinese man. The man walked quietly like a horse. He took Pedrozas hand and explained that the kung fu techniques Eusebio had used for his 7 year title reign would have very special powers on this night , multiplied many times over since it was now 7 years, and that he musnt throw any right hand punches or body shots or uppercuts at Mcguigan as mcguigan would suffer cardiac arrest and die a horrible death and a ancient curse would befall pedroza and his family....pedroza was distraught as he realised he could only throw a left jab and hook in this fight with mcguigan.
Pedroza went out there that night and lost his title but left the moral victor. To this day he refuses to discuss the real reason he lost.

it is a little-known fact that before the fight, NASA scientists were testing out a top-secret new compound alloy, an alloy which had the effect of drawing the human fist towards it, with the exact same effect as a magnetic field.

As Lockridge was one of NASA's top contract field-test agents at the time, he was given the green light to test this substance against Pedrosa.

He placed the tiny nubbin of alloy inside his foul-proof protector.

the rest, as they say, is history. as were Rocky's testicles, after the fight :(

Well that does explain a lot.

Back to the original question. What was more lethal, Eubanks 45% uppercut, or Pedroza's Kung Fu DeBox?

Maybe this would make for a good episode of Deadliest Warriors...

His opinion would seem appropriate since he seems to know the most about Eubanks 45 degree uppercut.

I'm afraid that by spreading these secrets aloud, they might have ended in the wrong hands. Look at what happened to Raines against Hearns a week ago...a clear use of lethal kungfuism by the naive.

Well I just want to hear his in depth analysis of the 45 degree decapitation punch versus the equally dreaded Kung Fu DeBox. So far, no one else here seems qualified to discuss the merits of each.

Maybe he's not as familiar with Kung Fu DeBox...

He's busy writing up more abusive PM's. Forum's a big place, you know. This is like Santa's Naughty-&-Nice List, we're talking here.

I feel left out. I'm not getting any abusive PMs.

Can't you get banned for that?

It's tough to measure the effectiveness of the Kung fu blow since Pedroza never faced anything other than scrubs throughout his career. If he had ever faced even a fringe contender we could better grade how lethal the blow truly was.

You have a valid point there Saad. Since he only fought sorry ass scrubs in his career he never really had to use it to it's fullest lethal potential.

The old Chinese man walked quietly"like a horse"?
Horses make a loud clacking sound with their hooves on a hard surface.
He must mean an elephant,
you ever hear a 5 ton elephant walking on a hard surface?
No noise at all, because their feet are cushioned.

The analogy is meant to mimick/satairise the ridiculousness of a typical skelp kung fool thread.

I think Pinklon Thomas's Karate Jab was the most effective.
He learned his deadlier strikes from the Karateka's that showed
him how to punch properly.

As the secret weapon of Kung Fu DeBox (pronounced Koong Foo Due Bo) is the five step heart punch, made famous in the Quenton Tarrentino Movies Kill Bill 1-2, and this secret weapon is known to kill recipients dead, learning Kung Fu DeBox was a bad move for Pedroza.

To knowingly unleash the five step heart punch for any other reason than self defense in a life threatening situation would result in a charge of murder, or attempted murder if the technique failed, thus rendering the teachings of Kung Fu DeBox useless to any one practcing martial arts in a sporting environment.

I thought I was the only one who knew about this. Pinklon grew up on military bases in Washington. While he was there an okinawan karate master took pinklon under his wing. he showed him the eagle claw monkey fist technique. Any karate man knows this punch is like being hit by an iron chain. But it depends on harnessing natural energy or chi which exists in every living thing. The colours white and pink are particularly effective in harnessing light and energy into motion.

Hence why pinklon always wore pink and white trunks , it was just a ruse to harness extra chi.

Pinklon never threw a jab in his life it was always the okinawan eagle claw money fist he was using. Thats why observers said his jab was the hardest in the HW division since Sonny Liston

And that's why Sanchez wouldn't fight Pedroza.

Over the next few weeks you won't read about Hearns' arrest for attempted murder of Raines for his blatant misuse of Kung Fu DeBox, as this shall be suppressed by the CIA, the ones that taught Hearns the art of Kung Fu DeBox
