He quit da 1st fight cos he didn't seem prepared for Clays style, and if he was there was nothing he could do about it. Clay had his number.
The 2nd fight I think he new he couldn't win so took the $ and the exit as soon as..

He claimed that. But he looked tired and beat up.
Now look at the rematch:
He never came to win. And it was the beating he took inda 1st fight that convinced him he couldn't.
So far there hasn't been a pro boxer who could of beat Ali from Liston/Foley. Truely amazing he was. He held his hands wrong! He moved back from punches. He didn't hav good hed movement. But his lightning reflexez,
