haha, yea glad i stayed up till 4am for that pile of shite, to make matters worse i put a tenner on cintron to win, i thought i was going to get my tenner back at least.

I've just watched the repeat. It looked on first glance AND on the replay that he dove out of the ring on purpose. Did he not fancy it a la Dirrell VS. Abraham?

Incidentally I thought Cintron was doing okay up until that point. He was catching Williams with a couple of shots. Williams timing was awful. I think it's clear to see why Williams hasn't got the big fights. There is no chance he'll get a shot at Floyd or Manny.

I'm glad I didn't stay up. I thought it would be a straight forward decision win for Williams. It wasn't straight forward, but I would have been annoyed at Cintron for jumping out of the ring. He's got the weirdest mentality.

The bizarre thing is, he looked like he was doing all right: he had the height & reach to get to Williams, & the way some of those right-handers were caroming off Williams' head it looked like the Froggy One could do some damage -- then Williams falls over, & Cintron thinks "Ah shite, look at that! I better outdo him!" & throws himself through the ropes.

What a strange man.

PS: Williams w/o physical dominance of an opponent = not that handy. I guess we can all agree now that if he wasn't actually a Godsdamned light-heavyweight by the time he gets in the ring, he'd have a lot more trouble beating the various welters, light-middles & middleweights he's fought.

Echo those sentiments - looked like Cintron actively dived through the ropes and Williams had looked terrible up to that point. Bizarre and disappointing in equal measure.

I could understand why they were both tentative, as at the end of the 1st round they both landed good shots, and both fighters realised it could be just one good shot from the other, and it'd be curtains.
Which is nearly what happened just before the end - in fact, bizzarely, Cintron looked like he might suddenly have his big chance...then he dives out of the ring! Hilarious.
He would have prehaps got up too, if it wasn't for that grandstanding idiot in the shiny suit, holding him down.

I think one of the judges must have given him a 10 for the dive.

wiliams deserves big fights! he is 38-1 and has beaten alot of good fighters!! would fancy williams to beat manny through workrate and reach..he wouldn't beat floyd tho

NO WAY WAS THAT A DIVE!!! I hate the cynics on here sometimes if you watch on a replay you will notice that whilst the ropes have Goosen Tutor bands around them they are not individually tied to each rop to give them rigidity and so from a stumble that would usually mean he would have bounced right back off the ropes the ropes gave way and he fell through. Why would he take a dive? He wasnt losing though he lost the SD it was a fairly even matchup.

I've only just seen what happened and I've got to say it's one of the most bizarre things I've seen in a long time, I can't tell if that was an intentional "dive" as some people have claimed or he tripped over Williams legs.

I was joking about the dive, to be fair it looked a genuine tumble, but seriously, I think he could have got up and carried on, he just banged his leg a bit.

But that hero in the suit looked like he was yelling in Kemrit's ear BE STILL, DON'T MOVE!!!

That was my initial reaction but I've rewatched it several times now and anyone's natural instinct in that scenario would be to attempt to regain their footing or stop their momentum but he actually seems to increase momentum in the direction of the fall and makes no attempt to break his fall or reach out to grap a rope which frankly is utterly bizarre, even given the fact they were unforgivably loose.
You've then got the situation where he appears to have come to a natural stop on the table, only to somehow end up falling further onto the floor.
Finally, there's the 'showbiz' banging of the ambulance door with his glove as he's being placed inside.
There's just something about the entire episode that doesn't ring true to me.

Not saying he doesn't deserve it through his wins but I meant he isn't a big draw as shown by the crowd and some of his fights have been a bit dull. Both of those things come into play when people are deciding/negotiating fights.

I agree, Winky Wright had similar problems too.

Watching the replay I thought Cintron clearly pushed off his legs to send himself flying out of the ring. It was definitely a self-assisted dive in my opinion.

I've watched it over and over and I would be inclined to agree with you Deserter. He did seem to jump through the ropes, although didn't have much control before he approached the ropes, but seemed to regain it and make a conscious decision to jump.

I aint convinced though that he feigned any injury. I aint sure why he jumped.... did he think it was a soft landing? What I think is that he probably bruised his back.... but the doctors airing on the side of caution withdrew him. I will not say that Cintron, although he's had ticker problems in the past when the going's got tough, jumped through the ropes to get a NC or a DQ win. I'm sure he could have continued, and wanted to continue - but Doctors air with caution when it comes to potential back, neck injuries.
