i think it would be a good peice of business if he signed katsidis , as he will attract crowds in this country regardless , could he possibly be Warrens chance of getting revenge over Khan , big puncher etc ?????

I think he would be a good signing, good to watch and seems a real likeable bloke. Plenty of Aussies live over here too so I think he could get decent crowds. No way Khan would ge in the ring with him though.

I think Katsidis has won a lot of fans over here and could pull big crowds in fights against the likes of Murray. In his interview after the fight he seemed very humble and likeable, and said that he was keen to fight here again. I'd be interested in seeing him against any of our best lightweights and light welters, although I also think he's a level above most of them.

Kastidis Vs Murray would be excellent and would build kastidis name more in the uk, should he win that he oculd easily be marketed and fight as part of a bill with, say cleverly before pushing for a khan fight, and in time maybe a rematch with mitchell.

Katsidas is VERY sellable. From the ring walk, to the style to his overall dimeanour.

Great TV fighter.

why would Katsidis want to step down in levels to fight Murray, though? a guy who will not help him get better world ranking/belt....?

unless of course he's offered megamoney, anyway, oh, well that's okay then, as long as murray is with a powerhouse promoter, a real go-getter who can pull strings and scratch backs and oil the levers of commerce, as long as Murray's with a real elite promoter, i can see a huge megafight at the City of manchester Stadium happening, that's the kind of thing Murray's promoter does all the time, big stadium super-events.....

Murray better run to Hatton or FW if he wants what you are suggesting

We'd be very fortunate to have Katsidis fighting over here permanently. :OhYes:

and i would be very jealous. it disgusts me that this bloke cannot get decent media coverage here(in Oz). didnt see mention on the telly of the fight duuring sports news. very disappointing. he and fighters like him deserve better.

someone said above Khan wouldnt fight him. Pity coz it would be a massive test for Khan but if he fought smart, quite winnable.

It was a purse bid. But I wouldn't be supprised if they did sign with FWP. It was they'er second fight together and it would make sense.

Thats the thing. fWank isn`t going to sign Katsidis - then give Murray a chance against him
I also don`t see the point in giving Mitchel another go straight at him .. Mitchel gets mullered and probably ruined next time.

I do think a move to fWank or the Hattons would greatly benefit Murray though. The kid is a stagnating wasting tallent ..

But lets not build Katsidis up too much. He is very much a gatekeeper to the lightweight division. A win over a basic but decent puncher doesn`t make you world class..

doesn't khan want katsidis to move up to 140?

khan said he wants "revenge" for mitchell.

(in other words he wants a TV date vs a marketable guy moving up in weight)

I'm sure Warren will snap his hand off to sign - and Warren can definitely make money with Katsidis, how is it possible not to like the guy - he's humble, affable, and a real dyed-in-the-wool warrior who gives his all in the ring.

I predicted Katsidis to win the fight, and I'm happy for him that it looks like he may get the chance to fight again here.

a) He couldn't make money from Katsidis as his promoter.
b) He would only make money from Katsidis as his manager.
c) Katsidis already has a manager.
d) You lot are mad.

He won a split decision against Geale, so I think it's fair to say Geale has a pulse.
