Paul Briggs on the undercard of Vic Darchinian in sydney. But who will be his opponent? Big name fighter ive heard.

When is this happening ??

Tomorrow night, they will be announcing who hes fighting some time tomorrow.

Here we are, the day of the fight and there has been no announcement.

Unlikely there will be one.

Well i heard from the horses mouth that it would be announced today. Ill wait and see.

big names don't tend to fight on a few hours notice, nor are they excluded from promotional activities leading up to a fight night...

Ive heard a rumour, Maybe he is fighting tonight as a warm up. To a possible IBO Cruiserweight Title shot

I think we might just get an announcment for a up coming fight im starting to think it wont be fight night for Paul tonight.

I think that's the most likely scenario for a fighter of Briggs' popularity and calibre. I'd be hugely surprised if he suddenly just fought on the card unless one of two things:
1. It's an exhibition bout
2. It's a Thai cab driver with a 1-56 record just for him to get rid of the ring rust

Is somebody now going to come up with a 5'6" cruiserweight?

Hey, and there I was believing Briggsy when he said "No, I have definately retired for good. There is no come back." You would think I would learn not to believe fighters !! If he does, good luck to him.....a fit and healthy Briggs v Green, bring it on !!!!

If he's on the card , he'll be commentating.

I have heard from very reliable source the Briggs v Green fight will not happen ??

Briggs is 35 and has not fought for three years. Somehow I think the comeback talk is scuttlebutt.

He has been very clear in his comments re not coming back, which surprised me when I read he was ??
But should it happen, yes Marlin, more time at the brewery is a top idea !!

He is making a comeback.

And this is what he said 2 night ago, "Announcing my fight with apponent tomorrow night in Sydney on Vic Darchinian's title defence Foxsports fight night I'm possative noone in Oz will be dissapointed with this dream Matchup" ....................

He was supposed to have a press conference months ago, it was mentioned in the newspaper, but I never heard of anything taht came from it.

I have also heard from a few sources now that he does want to fight again.

His official site expired in January. He has not renewed it.
