Matt Skelton is a comin!
Not only did Matt gain another good win, but also seems to have gained a couple of years!.

From 36 to "34 last month". That makes all the difference really.
The age claim sounded genuine enough to me. At 34 he is just older than Fraudley but really showing the right way to build a carrer at an advanced age IMO.
I thought he showed no real flaws in his work, so over time, should progress well.

Watch out indeed!

Matt Skelton is improving very nicely and doing all the things Audley Harrison SHOULD be doing right now, it's interesting that Skelton could rise up on the sly and take the limelight away from Harrison. I pick Skelton in a fight between the two at the moment, if i was Audley i would continue hiding in America under the false guise of "improved sparring" and wait for the British Heavyweight big guns to punch one another out then run in and pick up the pieces. At the moment i can't see Harrison beating Williams, Hide, Skelton or even Sprott especially if he is content fighting the calibre of opponents in America he has been so far. Meanwhile Skelton stays at home and steadily improves on the quiet.

Draskovic had never been stopped before, so that was a good performance by Skelton. It looks like Julius Francis is being touted as his next opponent, which would be a decent match. Unless Skelton turns out to be 'chinny' or, as Ian Darke continues to suggest, lacking in stamina, I can see Skelton being the heir apparent to Danny Williams.

Yep that was a very decent win, and you have to like the way Skelton keeps busy fighting every few weeks.

Not sure how far he can go, we'll get a better idea when he takes a hard punch to the chin. Francis could be just the man to do it too, but I'm hoping Skelton keeps moving up, setting up some great domestic fights next year.

Oh and he's now only 34, but you left his birth certificate in the hotel??!

I would like to find out if he is 34 or 36, as I think it makes a big difference.

Its seems like 38 is the age when things start to go to pieces - I know everyone is different, but look at the ages of Ali when he faught Holmes, Holyfield when he first faught Ruiz and Lewis when he faught Klitchko. All three boxers put on good displays two years previously.

Okay, there's the argument that Skelton should last longer cause he hasn't been hit as much due to him being a late starter, but he has had many K1 contests which can also take some effect.

If he's 34 and is managed correctly I see no problems with him getting to a world level (if he's good enough) by the time he's 36-37 - amateur champions have won world titles withing two years of turning pro, many within 3 years. If he's 36, then obviously its hard to see him wining more than a British title cause of the age.

Keep him busy, slowly upping the opponent everytime and it could be possible - because he was very impressive on Saturday, he hits hard.

No offence but Skelton hasn't fought anyone so far that hits back!

The first time he comes up against a skilled boxer who can move and jab, he'll be in trouble!

This guy is just Pele Reid 10 years on!

All power and no skill.
