Anyone got any info on whether Sky are picking this one up?
I think if will be a tougher fight for Cotto than you think. Foreman is no mug and the size difference is huge. I wouldn't be surprised to see Foreman boxing his way to a decision. I really can't wait to see this fight to be honest and I'm hoping Sky pick it up. Irishman James Moore on the undercard aswell in a make or break fight for himself.ArtOfWar wrote:Even though Cotto is a big name, it's not a fight i'm all that interested in. It's been set up for Cotto to pick up a title in another weight divsion, when really he should be rebuilding at welterweight if he's still serious about being at the top. Foreman's style is very boring as well, he'll be on the back foot all night. The undercard is also pants. I can't believe it's being shown at Yankee stadium. Bob Arum has pulled a master stroke if he manages to sell this junk to the public.
not necessarily true....mayweather went up to light middle-weight and beat de la hoya then went back down to welter......on that note is it just be or has anybody else noticed that 154 is being called "super welter" alot recently? or has it always been called that? its quite confusing.....Quixall wrote:Does this mean that Cotto's career at welter-weight is effectively over ?
The Americans like to confuse people by using different names for the 'light' divisions. Sometimes Light Welterweight is referred to as Super-Lightweight and Light Middleweight as Super Welterweight as you mentioned. Wouldn't be worrying about it to muchJesus wrote:not necessarily true....mayweather went up to light middle-weight and beat de la hoya then went back down to welter......on that note is it just be or has anybody else noticed that 154 is being called "super welter" alot recently? or has it always been called that? its quite confusing.....Quixall wrote:Does this mean that Cotto's career at welter-weight is effectively over ?
A lot of people think Cotto may well be shot, I'm tending to agree with them, at the prices I'll definitely be having a punt on Foreman.ArtOfWar wrote:Even though Cotto is a big name, it's not a fight i'm all that interested in. I have put money on him winning via Decision/TD @ 4/1. I think the odds are shortening considerably though. I got 4/1 a while back.REAL_DEAL wrote:Anyone putting money on Foreman?

Phenomenal-Nutrition wrote:ANyone putting money on Foremen is making a big mistake. A tall man without a jab? Formean's a JOKE, and an easy belt for Cotto. If Cotto was fighting a real top 154lber like Dzinderuk, Williams, Martinez, it may be different, but Foreman isn't near the likes of those
pn got it spot on, i also said that cotto would beat the average world champion foremanjwoods wrote:Phenomenal-Nutrition wrote:ANyone putting money on Foremen is making a big mistake. Oh dear.
People were speculating that it was his wife who threw the towel in. The commentators said the referee was following the rules by ignoring it. I thought he did a great job.twenty six wrote:What a strange ending though.
Foreman had a brace on his knee from the start, then slipped in the 7th and was clearly in pain.
Then in the 9th the towel comes in and the ref ignores it and says get on with it.
Love the ref's explanation.
It was in the heat of the battle, and I didn't know where the towel came from.
Like someone other than the corner is going to throw a towel in the ring.
Really good ref is Mercante Jr. Handled the strange situation brillantly.Asterix wrote:People were speculating that it was his wife who threw the towel in.
