Vitali won by KO in round 10. Albert tried and showed heart, determination and landed a few shots here and there but just wasn't good enough.

Vitali does seem to be in a slow decline but still has a good workrate and stamina. He looked more clumsy than ever but that may have been down to fighting a fit and mobile boxer for once. He can fight but can't box (and his brother is the opposite).

I think Haye maight be encouraged as never uses defence other than stepping and leaning back & seems to be slowing down slightly so i think Haye would have the speed to cover the gap fast enough to land heavy.

Haye would smash him inside six rounds based on what he looked like tonight

Vitali looked the worst I have seen him.

I think Haye should wait a year or so then make the move.

Haye defo now has a good shout.

I seriously doubt Haye would smash him inside six. Some people really get carried away.

Haye has been much more of a boxer at HW and would probably be quite cautious against Vitali. Given that VK has arguably the best chin in the division and both Valuev and Ruiz went late with Haye, I really have trouble believing Haye would stop him early. He is not the devastating KO artist he was at cruiserweight.

Vitali did indeed look sub par tonight, but he probably won every round and the KO was very nice. His size, durability, and stamina will still be to much for Haye, in my opinion. I wouldn't be surprised if Haye suddenly wants to fight Vitali now. After all, he did say he was waiting to see how good Vitali looked before making his next move. He probably thinks it's the perfect time to catch him, which would be disappointing.

Sosnowski deserves the credit also. It was a good effort from him. Showed some good boxing there, and had the right tactics. Just not quite the tools.

Hope its not the end of the road for him. He showed he warranted the shot, and deserves some other opportunities - put him in with Jonathon Banks (who was awful).

That would be a shame if the fight happened with Vitali on the slide.

I don't think it's been a slow decline for Vitali I thought I saw a lot of weaknesses when he fought Sam Peter. His arms were held very low and he just took advantage of his height reach and an opponent that was slow and overweight. Tonight he was fighting a guy who I actually now rate quite highly, he doesn't have a huge punch, but his workrate is good, his fitness is pretty good, which can't be said of that many heavyweights, and his chin is ok I'd back Sosnowski to beat quite a lot of heavies based on those traits alone. Tonight tho he was just in a fight that was a stylistic nightmare for him but the fact he won a few rounds shows he deserves credit I think. For a long time we were frustrated as hell with Sosnowski as he was just fighting low level opposition for years and years, well he has just fought for a World heavyweight title which not many people can say they have done.

I just hope to god Haye can get the fight on with Vitali. Haye vs one of the Klitschko's is the only World heavyweight title fight I want to see.

put sosnowski in with adamek - it'll be an entertaining punch fest. it will be itneresting to see how well the fight went down in poland. for instance, the brits got behind bruno who had one good moment before being stopped by tyson (fight one).

he can always go back to the european title, surely, which is a decent living at heavyweight. if audley does challenge haye, then surely the EBU title will be free. then again, i think sky probably want haye-audley more than haye does, that haye will want an ageing vitali.

banks was finished the moment he decided to go up to heavyweight. he's not dedicated enough to keep his weight down. a shame, as he is a talented heavy hitting fighter in his natural weight. with cruiserweight being 200-pounds (as opposed to 190), there is no excuse for a fighter like banks to be up at heavyweight.

Yes, Adamek would be good, or even maybe if Wlodarczyk decided to move up. I just would like to see Sosnowski be built up again a little slowly. I think he can come again, he was winning over the German fans and I think he could get some recognition.

For me, Adamek will be a bye bye loser match and the Heavyweight devision is so bare we cannot afford to lose a contender (Vitali will not hang around much longer).

I actually think Sosnowski moves INTO the top ten based on that lose..... might sound crazy, but I cannot think of 10 heavyweights who I think could beat him. Certainly top 15.

J, I completely agree - it would have been more frustrating had he got embarresed, cause his shot wasn't deserved - but he hung on in there, and did well. Proving he was deserving. He has fast hands and good skills.

I disagree though on your assessment on Vitali.... thats ALWAYS been his style. Very little variety, low defense asking to be hit. He was asking to be hit vs Williams and Sanders also. His workrate isn't what it was - although it was hard to know if he was just unmovitated cause Sosnowski didn't pose any problems.

Wlad is a much different, much better boxer - it really annoys me when people labell the two as the same with the sole difference being Wlad's lesser chin.

i think adamek would be a great reward for sosnowski. vitali is so tall he's not a guy you can really hit. whereas adamek - a former cruiserweight - is an opponent whom he can trade shots with.

perhaps sosnowski can get his european title back, off audley, get back in the winning column. and then build up to a big fight in poland. adamek has become an HBO fighter but he won't let them mess him around. if it means staying busy, he'll fight someone else knowing he can fill up that arena in new jersey, and get the polish TV money.

i like the idea that both can make money vs each other. sosnowski's had a tough learning curve and has carved something out for himself. adamek used to have real trouble getting the major american TV dates. if it's something for which there's a market, i think it deserves to happen.

LAst night was a real turn up for the books. No one saw that result coming did they?

most ppl saw a 5th round stoppage which was a bit unfair to sosnowski.

At least Sosnowski gave it a go which is more than can be said about some of the past challengers, he was well out of his league though and Klitschko dominated really.

still at least he gave it 100%, got knocked out properly rather than doing a maraton run, was totally up against it and can do better vs someone his own size.

would love to see sosnowski v audley. it's sosnowski's european title, really.
