Maybe this allows Leapai to get a 50/50 split with Cameron if he wins, given that Williams is 3 levels above any the opponents that Cameron has defeated.

I'm very happy about this fight I was a bit of a fan of Danny Williams he's a bit shot now but we still might see glimpses of some good stuff
and it's a lot better than bringing Cliff Couser over here .

For a start, Williams will be on a 30-day suspension in Britain after being stopped. I know that has no bearing on Aus boxing, but the point is it's very soon to be setting up another fight.

Also, Danny said before Chisora that it would be his last fight regardless of the result. Obviously it wouldn't be the first time a boxer has gone back on such words, but again, it's very soon.

Third, it's a long way (and thus expensive) to fly Williams to Aus when all the evidence points to him being beaten very comfortably, and probably very early.

True, if he comes to win, he could ask some questions of Alex, but based on the evidence of his last fight, he doesn't even do that anymore. Couple with a shot chin, no reflexes, and being overweight, and this looks a formality. Given also how quickly this is being put together, it simply reeks of "grab a payday" from Williams.

just got off facebook and his brother confirmed it as the main undercard for mundine this fight was to take place and finally got the backing on team mundine as leapai had fought on the last mundine card and would have a massive support base up in brisbane also mentioned leapai in full training doesn't want to take any think for granted cause 1 punch can change it all.

Alex and his fans dont have to wait any longer to see the lionheart battle a true beast in Williams. He maybe shot, he maybe not but he's experienced and in my opinion can give Leapai the fight that he needs.

Must win for Alex and should be a goodie for us boxing fans.

Great fight for Alex but if the same williams turns up as he has in recent bouts he is looking at getting hurt big time

Williams right about now borderlines on the "bum" status.... in any case Leapai or any boxer from the region of his caliber will put Williams away with ease. Gee.... he is going to get hurt.

Williams has got almost nothing left. :(

Saw the specialist 2 weeks ago he said 6 weeks then,lets hope next appointment has better news.I am hungry as,and cant stand sitting on the sideline.

Right, but overseas it's pretty much known to all that Williams is a looooong way gone.

Losing three of his last four fights does not look good for a man who once KOed Mike Tyson.

Good name on the Leapai record, however Danny's punch resistance went long ago and is the shadow of the boxer he used to be, I think it all fall apart for him after the Sosnowski fight. Danny is kind of like the British version of Big Bob Mirovic, he should have hung them up long ago and it is doing Danny no good as he is a top class bloke.

i think they done a great job getting beck who only had 5 defeats to his name 4 of them against top heavies Tony Thompson,Emanuel Charr,Valuev for the WBA and Monte Barret when in his prime in 2005,leapai will have his hands full just needs to put pressure in the early round but a knock out would prove great for his 1st international fight.

Ali was sick when he fought Berbick. That skews the argument.
