I am truly eating these words now...
Gomez dodged Barrera handily in Week 5.
In Week 6, Barrera vs Gomez was SIGNED! But Gomez pulled out.
Matt, I know that you have had your run-ins with 'Buzz, but I thought you were an honourable man.
And now I know better. Shame on you Matt.

He took the opportunity of a title elimination. You are just seething that you didn't take the opportunity. He is hardly ducking if he is stepping up to take on better opposition.

There is a difference, Gomez fighting Rafael marquez is not him "stepping up to fight better opposition"... NO WAY!
Marquez has fought cpu fighters... And any self-respecting true champion would not behave this way.
Maruqez is not better of a higher standard than Barrera, no way.
And I'd be willing to bet that "The Barrera Machine"would defeat Marquez swiftly.

Its hardly ducking though if its for a title.
I don't expect any of the Asian/African nations to pull out of the World Cup to play meaningless friendly's against nations who were matched tougher in qualification.

Rafa Marquez beat Willie Pep, all be it controversially and Barrera only drew with Pep, also controversially I might add.

Barrera has called out Gomez for week 7.
This is his one-and-only opportunity to put his broken oaths behind him and step up!
