Joao Henrique

It is indicated in Boxrec that Joao Henrique (Global ID 20685) died in 1980. However, on the internet I can find this notice from the New York Times published March 12, 1982, telling us that he died on March 11, 1982. Is there any known reason why 1980 should be correct?

The old death date has been replaced by the one mentioned in the NY Times.

In 1969 Joao Henrique (Global ID 20685) mentioned that he won the Brazilian title when he defeated Jorge Sacoma on April 29th, 1966. I assume that he meant the Brazilian jr. welterweight title. It is not listed as a title bout in Boxrec.

Now, his bout with Sacoma is being displayed as a Brazilian light welterweight title fight on Henrique's record so that this post could be deleted.
