Quite possible. If you look closely, you'll see the navy-&-gold waistband is the identical material to that of The Ring belt's red, white & blue design. It's the same-style belt, with different colours & plating.

Then again, perhaps it was just a knock-off design on another belt entirely.

That's exactly what it is. If you look closely you can make out The Ring in gold just above the globe.

just a look a those Ring covers shows that the 80's was truly the golden age of boxing.

do we think anyone will find covers of all the old KO magazines from the same period.

Thank for the info guys, I thought it may a Ring belt though I wasn't sure. Does anyone know where I could find other pics of title belts from the 70s and 80s. I've always been interested in that period of boxing history. Thanks again.

Ring Magazine had a color insert page during the early 80's with their champs wearing those belts.

Duran was ahead on points after 13 rounds. He said to Ray Leonard at ringside, "you would beat him." You can see him saying it.

Its the Seagram World championship belt. Specially awarded to him. I saw it after the Sibson fight in Worcester.
