derrys going to be mounting his comeback in july sometime and will be campaigning at lightweight, hes under no illusions were the problems lay to his recent downturn in fortunes and has addressed them accordingly and now has a whole new team behind him lead by oliver harrison, hopefully with a coupkle of decent wins he can get right in the domestic mix but i can confirm hes been looking very sharp in the gym and is coming back with a huge amount of motivation and determination, good luck derry!

He should not be rushed a few warms ups then hopefully get into to title shots!

Interesting switch whats Olivers form like with tall rangy types. Can't think of any he's had.

I think what he really needed was a good rest he is young enough to still do well good luck to him !!

I would say good on him he's still young and I think still has alit to offer the game maybe we will see a differant Derry with the extra weight my only reservations is lightweight is a good decision at the minuet an will he be strong enough with the likes of john Watson an john murry

Well i did wonder is a comeback would happen, as Derry was only 26 when he retired.
Will have to see what he's got left, but the last loss against Lawton looked pretty conclusive. And we know that Lawton has been found wanting at a higher level.
At lightweight Derry's advantages of height and reach he had a feather won't be there.

Been on the cards a long time.

Always thought tht more sensible matchmaking was required with Derry following the Choi setback but he definitely has the physical tools to make this comeback a successful one.

We'll be speaking to Derry for our mag's launch next month hopefully.

hi guys yes the rumours are true about my return things are goin well for me in training gettin some good sparring in with new lads everytime, i feel big and strong at the weight think have needed the move up in weight for a few years , am just goin to take one fight as a time maybe get 2 or 3 then il be back in the mix and nockin on the door for a title fight hopfully , good to be back and am here to answear all questions what are asked ,

Its a very weigh, Derry has great boxing ability and is Definitely Big enough for the weight. The Best Of Luck..

i dont know if i like the thought of Derry make a comeback ,after his last defeat i didnae want to see the laddie take mair punishment if i am honest .wish him well ,just hope he dosent get hurt in the long run

if i was derry id of stayed at super feather only for the fact that there are very tough fighters at 9'9 who will weigh in on the night alot heavier and will be physically stronger than him,but saying that its only the top guys in the 9'9 limit were id worry about derry getting hurt. no matter what i wish him all the luck in the world
