i thought herbie was the top contender for the WBC. didn't he pull out of competing in the prize fighter semi-final because he'd been badly cut, which might have jeopardised his chance of this elusive world title fight?

can any promoter get herbie a shot at the title, now owned by the tough pole, wlodarczyk, who stopped fragomeni in a rematch of their gruelling first fight?

the KFC fed american has withdrawn from fights with hide (WBC), cunningham (IBF), and is fighting marco huck (WBO) next.

sure I read he is fighting a Cuban in an eliminator.

after the huge impression he made in the popular prize fighter series, it's surely only a matter of time...

if herbie wins the WBC cruiserweight title, i'll buy his book. the champ wlodarczyk has only fought small cruiserweights though (cunningham weighed 192 in his last fight, fragomeni is a blown up light heavyweight).

but it's taking a bloody long time for hide to get his shot (not helped by the fragomeni-wlocarczyk first fight controversy) and it's being rumoured that sauerland's planning either a unification series or a super 6 tournament at cruiserweight, which no doubt will exclude herbie and delay his big chance (if there is one) even longer.

he looked horrible in prizefighter.

to say i worry about him against a decent opponent is an understatement.
