I said that Khan would never become a world champion...........

So even perfect people with extensive knowledge of boxing can make mistakes occasionally :DD

I'll get my coat :KO:

I remember Buncey saying Andy Lee was going to be the greatest middleweight ever produced from these shores. He got that one wrong didn't he?

Audley Harrison...well, Ring magazine put him on the front cover two months after I said he would win the world title.
In 2001 it was fair to expect that the Klitschko boys would be gone - I knew that there was nothing coming through and, I reasoned, that by about 2006 Big Aud would have a clear run. It's easy to be a genius now.
Andy Lee is a great little fighter.

The British Boxing Heroes series on ESPN Classic continues tonight at 11:10 with Chris Finnegan v Johnny Frankham II.

Adios.

And polish up your pointing too Bunce. Nothing worse than ineffective finger work.

Davido,
Congrats on the bambino.
I will work on the stare and point - it grows as the ten shows flower. Trust me.

Adios.

Cheers Steve,

He's named after a combination of Honeyghan and former Forest centre half Larry.

I watched it last night and they had some good stuff on here. They had Joe Calzaghe, Prince Nassem Ahmed and Ken Buchanan Calzaghe, and Ahmed were featured in early fights of their career. Calazghe dispatched his opponent Paul Mason with a tasty left hook to the head, while Prince Nassemm dispatched Des Gargano with an impressive left hook to the body Buchanan defeated Brian Hudson for the British title before he fought Ishmael Laguna.

My little boy is now 10 weeks old. I think my wife finds it surreal/bizarre that every time he inadvertently hits me round the face, I commend him for having a good right hook/jab etc....

I did a few pieces on Pat for the Daily Telegraph. I spent time with him before the Galloway fiasco.
