Show was scrapped. I doubt we'll see any OZ shows on One-HD in foreseeable future.
It's simply not an attractive proposition for promoters.

Network 10 still lives in the days of rock show Uptight. Bands etc didn't get paid, they got free advertising slots instead - 2 x 10 seconds if I recall correctly.

Nope! The show was scheduled for Sydney on Aug 4, but when scrapped, couple of fights (Tomlinson & Pitt) were taken on board by Amatruda/Michael - Aug 20

One would assume that Ten One is casting around at other sports (T20 cricket etc) as they were burned by the embarrassing local promotions they televised previously. Looks like Fox will remain boxing's bastion of fistic transmission.

Believe it or not Murdoch used to own Ten. Sold it because he had to choose between a TV channel and newspapers and the papers were making more money.

Westfields bought it in the 1980s and took a real bath, as did Alan Bond (Nine) and Christopher Skase (Seven). They thought a TV channel was a licence to print money, but an international recession hit and advertising money dried up. All three had paid more than the channels were worth.
