I just wouldn't be confident about the quality of the recording - what is available is already pretty variable

Are you talking about old archive fights or recent fights?

If that is your motivation for the thread mate, then Macho is right.
ITunes is just too "public" if you know what I mean.

There are some classic fights on youtube, that have been up for 2 years+ and only have say 2,400 hits. And I bet half of them were by accident or because they were embedded into other websites.
There is just not a market for archived fights. Only relevant ones that have just happened.
If it was £1.99 for a fight from last weekend, then yes i would try and support it. Especially if i was abroad and the only way i could watch it would be using that service.
Then again you can get the Justin app for the iphone too.

Cheers lads, not for my collection

I like my freedom!!!
I'm thinking of ways for people to watch fights. For example the dublin bill the other night, imagine if they had put the whole bill on itunes i'd definately want to watch it. Imagine being able to go on their and bring up any fight you wanted. It would be class. Promoter gets a bit of doe, so too does the host. Its a perfect place to get started. With regards to the fights on youtube- they are often in segments which pisses people off and the target market for these videos wouldn't be the youtube crowd, it would be folks like you or me who love boxing- and also armchair fans.
I think its got great leg personally. It would also be a useful tool for measuring the popularity of certain fighters.

Promoters could sell videos of their non televised undercard fights on there. Some are now putting them on Youtube I know but that doesn't always make the best viewing.

Id rather pay if it helped the sport in general.
call it 25p a round... a 12 rounder would then be 3 quid and a 10 rounder 2.50
