Calzaghe is yet to fight Ottke, Echols and Mundine. Jeff Lacy is coming up and Robin Reid is back on the horizon. Warren is full of bullshit when he says that he has tried to make these fights.

For what its worth Hopkins would beat Calzaghe, but Joe should pick on someone his own size, or someone bigger.

To be frank, i'm not interested in Calzaghe or any of Warren's fighters for that matter.

They are all overrated, as are most British fighters.

Look at Kassim Ouma, he would beat every Light Middle we have in this country, yet he fights for peanuts on ESPN2.

Calzaghe has not faced Ottke, Larsen, Mundine, Lucas or Beyer so i would say there is plenty to keep him occupied at SM, but he has beaten all the top contenders like he says...if Tocker Pudwill and Miguel Jimenez are top contenders

Lewis fly's the flag of convenience, he knows it, you know it, we all know it.

He exploited the British public's desperation for a HW Champion.

As for Lewis being born in England, the former England footballer, Terry Butcher was born in Singapore.

The fact that he was born here is irrelevant.

I have to admit, I've never fully embraced Lennox as English, mainly because he won Olympic gold for Canada and knocked off several of our boys in the amateurs (Wells, Oyebola, etc). Now, don't get me wrong. He and his mum are nice people. They lived next door to my auntie in Crayford for several years (no bullshit; Frank Maloney bought them the house), but Lennox spends much of his time in Jamaica now, though he still has a home here and one in Canada.
What I am trying to say here is this: the formative years of your life, between 11 and 16, are the years that mould you as a person in my opinion; give you an identity. And Lennox was in Canada during those vital years. He would never have come back to England if he hadn't accepted Frank Maloney's lucrative offer to turn pro here in 1989. He was actually 23 by the time he did return, so from 12 to 23 was pure Canadian. You can take the man out of Canada...
