Brown seemingly has it all in abundance, stamina, will to win, power and speed and a growing reputation in 1989.

yeah, hmm, getting KTFO by Pettway doesn't make me that confident Brown owuld have the measure of Trinidad...

I do think Brown may end up building a fair lead over Tito before the equalizer, though, good workrate.

I may be the lone dissenting voice on this one, but in 1989 Brown was not struggling with the weight, & I think he'd give Tito all that Campas did & more. I agree with Counter-puncher that his workrate would deffo build a lead. Feck it, I think he'd eventually knock Tito out.

In Brown's prime, it was slicksters that gave him trouble, not hitters. I know Pettway knocked him out, but I can't see Tito getting up from that shot either. I rate Brown's chin as solid enough to withstand Tito's bombs, at least until he finishes the Puerto Rican in the eighth after a blinder of a war.

Or you know, I can see Brown decking Tito, building up a big lead in a barnstormer of a fight, before suddenly crumpling from the sort of shot he'd already walked through earlier.

The latter, on reflection, seems the more likely scenario, but I am an incorrigible romantic so I'm voting for my first choice. Brown by mid/late KO.

This could have happened. In 1989 I would say Brown had the stronger chin & took everything Terry Norris could throw at him. This was at a time when Norris was beating all the notables (Mugabi, Curry, Leonard). Brown knocked Norris out with ease and knocked out Maurice Blocker. Blocker was only a shadow of himself when he met Tito. However it was Trinidad that became the legend and even though Trinidad had been knocked down in his first few defenses I would say he'd have Brown out in the later rounds because Brown was really knocked out shortly after this.

But respectfully how much would you attach to the versions of Mugabi, Curry and Leonard he beat?

In my opinion Leonard was still a very much live foe despite the inactivity and Terry put on a magnificent show to beat him. Mugabi and Curry Im more dubious about.

Still Terry was a fantastic fighter and a credit to the game.
