i've been saying it for about a year now, but i have a good feeling about this tom dallas being the next great british heavyweight. He seems a throwback in that he actually isn't overweight, comes in shape and has some natural talent and snap in his shots.

I'd love it if he were to go with his trainer and d a camp in the states and bring on board help from a good american trainer for a few months.. Right now he should carry on with the interesting uk scene

Agreed he is in good shape. Bit upright but he better than fury IMO

He looks fairly solid and fit. Decent power, but not sure how he`d cope with a quick fighter.

And he has no jab!!!

The one thing guarenteed with Tom is that when his career is finished, he won't have any regrets.

Always comes to fight in shape and gives 110%.

Has always been the same. He has come a long, long way since his youth and long may it continue.
Outside the ring he is a gentleman too.

Was mightily impressed with Dallas last night.

His speed and accuracy was excellent.

He is very upright, and looks stiff.

Not saying that is going to hold him back, especially in this era of heavyweights, but it's quite alarming.

I quite like Dallas, he doesn't force the punches out, he lets things happen naturally and looks like he has a dig on him. Like others have already said, he's very upright and his defence isn't the best but he can work on that.

He's definately got potential, though.

He is clearly ready to step up to 8-10 round contests as he wasn't breathing out his backside at the end and was throwing plenty of shots.

Not a great deal of head movement and very upright - He throws those wide shots too, with little regard for defence/blocking anything coming back. A decent operator with a good punch straight down the pipe could cause him major problems.

I like watching him though.

Dallas deserves a crack at the English title or at least his area title. He's had 11 fights now and they have been respectable wins, the Swaby fight being the marker to go by domestically, the Perez fight last night showing he can go a few rounds and keep working accurately, this surly shows us he can start mixing more domestically.

Time to up the danger level of fighters now, and take a step up. I can see him being right in the domestic mix in 3-4 fights time if he starts taking on some British fighters. McD, Fury or Sprott then maybe Rogan would be great to come through and would get him some more needed rounds against decent opposition.

I really like the way Dallas fights. His punches look crisp and sharp and he moves well. Peret was a good work out for him and a nice win.

His defence is too leaky. Good to watch though and that is going to be his biggest strength I feel. He might end up must see.

hes fought nothing but tomato cans so far

if anything these foreign imports are the throwbacks

the other night i was impressed with dallas, but i still say he is the heavyweight martin conception, just not the right configuration of head, neck and shoulders to make it to the higher levels of the sport. he will be toooooo easy to hit as he steps up im afraid, but i wish him well, nice chap.

Dallas is nothing special. He comes across as very stiff and upright to me, and his defence is not very good. He is big and strong guy but I don't see him going beyond domestic level. He certainly won't be the next great British heavyweight. Fury and Price are defiantly both better (not sure how anyone can say he is better than Fury at this point) than him and I think they should max out as Euro level operators.

Dallas looks to be in better shape but he has not faced an opponent who has really pushed him and would make him gas. Aside from physical conditioning, Fury is just as good or better in every other department.

Is Lee Blundell his Dad ?

Good lad Tom, works hard, always in shape, getting quality sparring, needs to tighten up his defence and use his jab more but he's headed in the right direction. Think he could be a real force in the next 18 months or so in the UK.

Not sure of the answer but I would be suprised if he was. Blundell was 13 when Dallas was born.
