Eamonn Magee's mouthwatering clash with Junior Witter has been pushed back to December 13 at the MEN Arena in Manchester.

Magee-Witter will be on the supporting bill to rival Ricky Hatton's WBU light-welterweight title defence against Ghana's Ben Tackie, which also features Neil Sinclair's WBU vacant welterweight title clash with Jimmy Vincent.

Though, Magee's coach John Breen remains unconvinced that Witter will take the challenge of former Commonwealth champion Magee despite terms being agreed.

Breen said: "I am shocked that they have agreed to take the fight because they have to realise how dangerous Eamonn is and how much is on the line.

"The extra two weeks training will only help Eamonn and he knows that in this fight he has everything to gain.

"Witter has the British and Commonwealth titles and the number one spot with the WBO and he's also very close to getting a fight with Hatton and when Eamonn beats him all that will be his.

"It's a great chance for Eamonn to get right back on track for a re-match with Hatton and I think that his power will be the key.

"We have seen Witter rocked by lesser fighters in the past and when Eamonn catches him it will be good night. I just hope they don't come up with an excuse not to fight Eamonn."

Breen is currently pondering whether to run another Ulster Hall show after the success of his debut as a promoter, with veteran Mike Callahan, last Thursday night.

"I've had a lot of people come up to me saying how much they enjoyed the show. The fans know that they got value for money and are keen for another one but we'll have to wait and see," added Breen.

If this doesn't materialise we should all e-mail the guy telling him he's a prick and the press complaints commission telling them he's a prick as well.

I dont think yo need to be a rocket scientist to work out whats going on. Warren has mooted the fight, a huge fight in domestic terms but is first trying to get Pinto. The Magee camp want this fight badly and are making sure that if the Pinto bout doesnt come off(as it wont) then Witter will have to take the fight as he looks stupid if he fights a nobody.

Read what Warren says, he only says 'no date has been set' and 'nothing has been finalised'.

If it wasnt going to happen then he would write it off...

It would appear that the Pinto fight fell through last week and then Warren offered Magee the fight without informing Witter. Magee's camp accepted and then made sure they made noise about it knowing that if Witter turned down the fight it would look bad for him.

Similar thing happened last year when Witter was due to fight Krivolapov but the Russian wanted too much money. Magee was then ofered the job, he accepted but then Witter looked for more money so the fight fell through. Looks like something similar could happen this time round.

Seeing as Witter hasn't defended the British title in an age I think the BBBC should order the fight and then that would force eyeryone to show their hand.
