Thought he was class personally, shame he's not been on TV more. Good fighter real talent.

I expected quite a bit more from Cadman as a pro after being a quality amateur. It all seems to be there, but there's just something missing come fight night. I wonder sometimes if he ever truly got over the humbling at the hands of Matthew Thirlwall during the London ABA finals all those years ago.

Top bloke though and good to watch.

Which is interesting as Thirlwall has done nowt, apart from get the worst tatoo in boxing, as a pro too.

Thirwell was a top am, blasted that Stephen Birch too- I thought Birch would do great things.

DavidPayne, Thirlwall hasn't won any titles, granted, but he's had few noteworthy wins...Osman, Hillyard, Smilley. Should have bagged an Area and English title at the least though.

Daniel also went all out in the semi in the best tradition of Prizeighter and was v friendly to eveybody (other boxers and punters) on the night too
I would say he came out second best from the night.

Butch - that is the frustration.

I would venture his level of ability is broadly where Paul Smith's is, though dedication should be listed as an ability too.

I think one of his biceps has been a big problem too, but yes, dedication to the sport probably isn't what it should be, and you're right, it's all part and parcel of being a good boxer...but when you can attract the ladies like he can, that would test a lot of guys desire to live a spartan lifestyle

You can just imagine him, if not winning a Lonsdale title, then at least taking part in one or two British title classic fights that get talked about for years. Shame.

First time I had seen the lad (PrizeFighter ) I thought he won rounds 2& 3

I agree - he was great. He made Prizefighter the other night.

Prize fighter seems to be all about three rounds of brawling.............

In that respect Cadman was value for money.

Nice bloke, but as a fighter, forget it. To say he is a good fighter makes me wonder what or who you are comparing him to.

He's a good fighter compared to not so good fighters, his balance was good and his shots were tidy. He was exciting and gave it a real go. He's got talent.

He had a good amateur career, so it's a shame that his pro career never took off. Mainly to do with finances i pressume. Many boxers when they turn pro can't train full time, so they lack sparing, general sharpness, suffer a few defeats and their confidence is knocked......

It's a tough tough sport to break.

Talented kid is where i'd put him, not really had enough fights to be considered a journeyman for me mate. Think you over estimating my opinion of what is an isn't a good fighter. I just liked the way he boxed you'd think that he'd have done a great deal more based on his performances.

people bang on about his am career, he was only succesfull as a junior...he's allways been strong :!: but as a kid his strength was unreal & he can bang with the left hook allways setting up with a lead right he seems to run out of patience & stamina, but jt's right he's got talent but not the right mindset.
when thirlwall dropped him he punched the canvas & went roaring in straight onto a right hander D
thirlwall & walker one of the worst two managed fighters imo

Cadman=LEGEND!!!!

cadman is tidy, strong and has loads of bottle. he got whacked bad in the 1st round and i nearly dropped my beer when he ran out and dished it out the 1st time i've seen him box and fair play to him; he's got a very decent style, has a good punch and takes a whack, he doesn't moan when it gets tough. in short he ought to be on the telly a bit more.
