This is funny. Haye is the one who has rejected a 50:50 offer with no options... after shooting his mouth off for so long.

Do you still believe everything you read in the press? This headline was predicted by many of the posters here when they realised that Haye would probably not want to fight one of the Klits yet. The media come out with some total BS but this headline is no surprise.

I can’t remember which one this guy is, he’s definitely not outboxed thoroughly or sources... I think we had an “Empathically”.

Hitman09 will always be reverse Thomas Hearns grub until he starts chanting there’s only one Audley Harrison.

So what if Wlad is ducking Haye.

Haye ducked Steve Cunnginham - so he cant complain.

cunningham got his chance and lost to adamek (a fighter with similar achievments to haye).

haye fought maccarinelli, a fight that had much more public demand (both battle of britain and meeting of two vulnerable punchers, 2 irresistable scenarios) and more money.

that said, a stupid headline, because wlad is fighting povetkin because haye chose not to face wlad (my belief being that haye will fight vitali).

You know, I would lovelovelovelovelove it if they bring Chagaev over for Haye.

After watching the Uzbekistani's recent win over Kali Meehan, I think David does him, double-quick stylee. It's a much less risky fight than Audley Harrison (they've both only really got one punch--the southpaw counter left cross--but I'd much rather have Chagaev hit me with his than Harrison clomp me one) & will mean more in a world scene kinda way & it will look great for the old highlight reel when Ruslan splatters across the canvas like... Like a fat Eastern European heavyweight.

Datsue.

Promoters like to make money.

TV companies like easy to sell fights.

Chagaev is historically more significant.

But Harrison blows holes in him at the box-office.

Oh definitely mate -- my main point was though (& after having given it some thought I stand by this) was that Chagaev's a far easier fight: easier to hit, & doesn't crack as hard as Audley. I'd be confident Haye could pummel Chagaev to a nasty smear whereas vs. Audley I'd be watching through me fingers hoping that Dave doesn't leave his chin out to dry.

lol at Audley being a harder hitter than Chagaev.

Chagaev, as dull as he is, is game and can throw hard shots, the two biggest things that can give Haye nightmares at heavyweight.

Harrison is not game and doesn't throw any shots, the two biggest things that will work in Haye's favour at heavyweight.

Haye's style is all wrong for Harrison hard punches from a forward moving fighter. On the other hand Aud does like to sit waiting for a big shot we saw that in prize fighter and when he lands he lands a bomb. I think its a risky fight - for a start if haye looses his career is over. His movement is going to be to fast for Aud to land a bomb imo though.
