Obviously im going to say Sinclair and I actually think its going to be quick and brutal. Vincent rushes in and I just think there will be a bullseye on his chin and a big Sinky punch is going to stop him in about Two rounds..

What do you all think, does Vincent have too much fire and determination for the fragile Sinclair? Is Warren going to live to regret paying Vincent off so he wouldnt get back in with Barnes??

Also, where how does this win comapre with Hare and Khaliqs victories over a former world class but now shot-to-bits Bergman. Is Vincent more dangerous that the former Judah victim or is Vincent nothing more than a journeyman who has exposed the talentless David walker and the very raw David Barnes??

Would love to see Jimmy Vincent put one over Warren with a victory, forcing an immediate return with Barnes.
I have to say I feel that Sinky is the wrong style. A long armed hard puncher, he can stay outside of Jimmy’s swarming style and detonate bombs when the opportunity arises.

Sinclair is a well schooled boxer with too much experience to get drawn into a war at this stage in his career. I would imagine he will stop a gallant Vincent within six rounds and leave Jimmy rueing the day he excepted step aside money. This is Warren’s favoured scenario and would allow him to lay the ghost of Jimmy Vincent to rest..

I think Sinclair will look to box sensibly and win the first 6 rounds clearly before really opening up in the second half and ending matters somewhere around the 8th or 9th.

I just hope Vincent isn't subjected to too much of a beating, that rematch with Barnes is a must-see for me in 2004.

Good Question - on the grand scheme of things you have to say that victory over Bergman is probably better. No doubt Bergman wasn't the fighter he was, but (especially when he faught Khaliq) considered a dangerous fighter. I remember his fairly recent victory against Derek Roache and he looked far from shot.

If I am correct Bergman was the betting favourite against Khaliq, Vincent won't be against Sinclair. However, it was apparent after that night that his punch resistant was gone. Therefore, its wasn't such a massive victory for Hare. I would say Hare's greatest victory was against Holland or Dzusman.

You make a valid point about Vincent, possibly his two greatest performances are more of an indication of his opponents potential, than his own level. Perhaps he is really still the same fighter, just the two "prospects" weren't that good. Unfortunately, we won't know this untill he fights some of Bradley Price's standing (who may have more to offer than Barnes and Walker) or above, meaning Hare or Khaliq.

As you've indicated there PR, with such an opponent its a lose-lose situation for Sinclair. If he wins well, then some people will say that Vincent was just a journeyman anyway.

I'm really looking forward to this fight. Vincent has a chance if he drags Sinclair into a war and can take his big punches. But Neil showed good boxing skills against Brendan Pryce in his last fight, then stepped on the pedal with his power shots. I can see him containing Vincent in very much the same fashion, and slowly grinding him down for a clear points win. It won't be easy. It will be entertaining.
One sidenote: Sinclair has beaten a lot of opponents with that left hook to the body of his. He could probably catch the Birmingham strongman all night to the chin with no real effect, but to the body? He has a chance to undo Vincent with that shot. Stranger things have happened.

Jimmy has improved a lot since acquiring journeyman status as he proved by stopping David Walker and beating David Barnes (no one can tell me he lost that fight ) so he can take Sinclair the distance but i think he is hard pressed to win.
