Mexican WBO featherweight champion Manuel Medina has dismissed Scott Harrison's chances of regaining his crown at the Braehead Arena in Glasgow on November 29.

The champion said: "That was one of the easiest nights of my career so I jumped at the chance of going back to Scotland to fight him again.

"I have seen and faced everything in this business and I know that Harrison will be out for revenge but it will only end in heartbreak for him again.

"What can Harrison do different this time? I have seen everything I needed to see of him from the first fight and I know that this time I can knock him out."

I have a feeling this is going to be a painful night for Medina. He definitely met a jaded Harrison last time out, and Harrison on song is a punishing fighter. It's not going to be pretty in my opinion.

I see no reason to believe Harrison will reverse the outcome of the first fight. I expect Medina to come though again.

Harrison's eagarness to prove himself again will boil over into frustration, and Medina will egg out a UD.

See Bennie this is why i like you. You have a like mind to myself on this. On a different site that won't be named, i have been trying in vain to convince peoplle that Harrison was out of sorts last time for whatever reason but this time there will be mistakes and Medina will lose in a bad way.

I envisage a replay of the first fight. Boxers talk shit, their camp is "perfect", they're in "the best shape of my life", then all of a sudden when they lose they've had flu or a throat infection or some such bullshit. Harrison looked good beating McCullough, everyone was impressed at the time including myself (I admit), but it was nonetheless a big featherweight beating a much smaller man on points. Medina exposed Harrison for what he is, a decidedly average fighter with a lot of physical strength and not much else. WBO level is his zenith, if he ever regains the belt it won't be by beating Medina, who is, frankly, a class above.

Peter Harrison, Scott Harrison, Frank Maloney and allegedly are not stupid. If Scott was in top shape for the first fight, gave the performance he did and now isn't planning on making a change and fighting differently then why would they take the fight?

If your boxer was outclassed when he was at the top of his game you wouldn't put him straight back in with the same opponent next time out would you!?

Mighty Warrior. You're the top man on Eastside for predictions. Tell us how you see this one going if you don't mind. I was basing my 'jaded' judgement on the number of title fights Harrison had boxed prior to the Medina shocker. Eleven of his previous 12 fights had been featherweight title fights, and the one non-title fight was a biggie with Tracy Harris Patterson in Madison Square Garden. That's a lot of title fights for a man who struggles to get down to nine stone every time. But, of course, Medina was possibly the first man who didn't move into Harrison and allow him to hold the centre of the ring and pump his fists. Harrison looked befuddled by the lateral movement of the five-time Mexican 'world' champion (which makes him a modern day Sugar Ray Robinson). Who's to say the same thing won't happen again!

I didn't see Harrison v Medina but I'm expecting the WBO belt to change hands once again. There must be a whole lot of confidence coming from everyone in Team Harrison for them to want to go straight back in with someone as bloody awkward as Medina. Unlike with Alex Arthur it's very believable that something was wrong with Scott back in July..

I reckon the old warrior will be stopped this time around.

Some good comments. However, don't underestimate Medina. He is far from shot.

This devision is red hot, your not ranked 6th prior to the first match if your fringe world class. Medina is top draw and I am worried for Harrison.

Perhaps he has a kind of Shane Moseley attitude. There was nothing wrong with him prior to his first meeting with Forrest, yet the rematch took place way too soon for him. I think Moseley was in denial, perhaps Harrison is the same.

I believe that certain boxers just seem to have other boxer's numbers.

Look at Sugar Shane over DLH, or Mayorga over The Viper....?

As stated above, I see a similar result to last time, with Medina (again) being victorious.

While that's true I don't think it necessarily applies here, imho it's so much that Medina has Harrison's number but rather Harrison just isn't as good as he was hyped up to be after the McCullough fight when everyone really got ahead of themselves.
Brodie is the man at feather in this country and gets the opposite treatment, it's baffling...and rather sad.
