I know most of us want a load of big names on shows - but the following has the makings of being an entertaining night - loads of you will know sometimes its the undercard fights - when most people in the bar getting p*ssed - that make the evening - and dare I say it the boxer that I have criticised most in recent times "Jaffa" is in what could be an entertaining fight with Michael Banbula. In addition Martin Power who posts regularly on here is top of the bill so I am sure we will all be behind him!!! :TU:

I know Team Jaffa will think my criticisms have been unnecessary but boxrec is about opinions - and lets concede something here I would love Jaffa to prove me wrong in everything that I have stated about him - one thing for certain is that he has livened up the North East boxing scene and it seems I am in the minority with regards to how far I think he can go - I have looked up the record of Banbula - Michael Banbula Record - it seems he could give Jaffa a decent test if he comes with some ambition - even if he doesnt in my opinion Jaffa will do very well to stop the lad - with that said I hope on this occasion Jaffa learns to relax and to stop loading up all of the time and let his boxing skills do the talking - thus far my main criticism of Jaffa is that he has been too eager to please his large army of fans and perhaps trying to make Super Middleweight has been a drain as well.

The card is as follows:

July 23rd 2010 , The Rainton Meadows Arena, Sunderland

12x3 British Bantamweight Title
Stuart Hall v Martin Power

10x3 English Light Welterweight Title

nice little bill, but why oh why is dolan fighting rasani, surely dolan is 3 ye\rs past that kind of fight, as soon as dolan lands big its all over, possibly 1st round.

Just putting this thread up again - I honestly believe its a good show - and yep looking forward to watching Jaffa fight in particular - I have criticised the lad big time in the past - lets see how many improvements he has made - I hope quite a few as the North East needs a big name boxer to carry on all the good work which is being done up here.

The sad fall of Andy Bell continues. From British champ to four-rounders in around two years. Lost his last four, last two early. I remember the night he beat Edwards, felt like the beginning of something, not his career peak. Decent show though.

God damn; Hall weighed in two pounds under the limit. Bang goes Power's theory that Hall struggles with the weight.

Unless he's been so extreme on his efforts to cut weight he's lost more than planned. That happens now and again

That could well be the case, but Hall would be a plank if he came in 2lbs under the limit when he's struggling. I'll give him the benefit of the doubt on this one. However, it would be pretty sweet if Power bashed him up.

More likely because he fought just seven weeks ago and stayed in shape.
