VIC Darchinyan wants to fight in the UFC - convinced a childhood spent Greco Roman wrestling could earn him a world title inside the famed Octagon.
Sport Confidential can reveal Darchinyan - whose father was an Olympic wrestling coach - has already been approached by four American MMA gyms. And despite having limited mixed martial arts experience, the undisputed super flyweight champion says the move could take place within the next two years.
"I would like to fight in the UFC, definitely," Darchinyan said. "Prove there's more power to me that just what's in my hands. My father was a wrestling coach and I've grown up with that. I'd just have to learn a few kicks. I think three or four fights would be perfect."

A publicity stunt me thinks.
I have said on numerous occassions when this xcomes up that it is near impossible because the UFC does not have a weight class near low enough for him.
The UFC currently uses five weight classes:
Lightweight: 146 to 155 lb (66 to 70 kg)
Welterweight: 156 to 170 lb (71 to 77 kg)
Middleweight: 171 to 185 lb (78 to 84 kg)
Light Heavyweight: 186 to 205 lb (84 to 93 kg)
Heavyweight: 206 to 265 lb (93 to 120 kg).
They are all way too heavy for VIC

Considering where the story came from, it is probably bullshit.

In my dreams I've won the UFC lightweight all the way to heavyweight titles, because in my dreams I'm the most talented mma fighter ever.
This all happened after I was an undisputed boxing world champ that made more money than Mike Tyson did in his career. I would've beaten either of the Sugar Ray's in their prime.
I had to wake up and go to work after all that though.

I dont think Donaire deserves a shit at him, he will go to his grave being his biggest carrer highlight.
Montiel v Vic will be a good fight, i dont know if Vic can get the win over Montiel

Tell him the work sent you to sleep, therefore it's his fault

Maybe the 125lb division in the WEC?

For what it is worth, the Nevada State Athletic Commission has a 125 pound flyweight division for mixed martial arts.
