So what your saying is he should have kept fighting after the Berbick fight...maybe another dozen fights or so?

This can't be the original Granberry, even he has more sense.

There could be a case for disqualifying hi in the second fight against Liston.
(Not going to a neutral corner, not obeying the referees instruktions, hitting Liston after the knock down before being told to "Box on".)

Don't be dissapointed, granberry was a star attraction....no one can emulate the granner! So to come in and mock the unmockable is a difficult thing to do. He had a storm driven passion, demonstrated logic, (though pretzel at best), knowledge steeped in a sort of tortured anger, and a clear and vibrant presentation containing both a sense of mission and focus.
When gran was banned, they broke the mold. Though you could actually smell his mold even over the vast distances of the World Wide Web.

I can see arguments for: Jones, Frazier 2, Norton 2, and 3, Jimmy Young, and Shavers. The others not including the official losses, seem a bit of a stretch.

I actually think it is a decent post - if not to be serious but to raise an interesting point and start discussion.
My takes:
Tunney Hunsacker - Haven't seen it
Doug Jones - Close but clear to Ali
Frazier 1 - Yep, he lost it clearly
Frazier 2 - Haven't seen it
Frazier 3 - Uh, are you serious? I had Ali ahead on points, and it was a knockout FFS! Where's the controversy?
Rudi Lubbers - Haven't seen
Joe Bugner - Haven't seen
Ken Norton 1 - Another loss to Ali
Ken Norton 2 - Haven't seen
Ken Norton 3 - Haven't seen, but everything I've heard indicates robbery
Jimmy Young - Haven't seen
Alfredo Evangelista - Haven't seen
Earnie Shavers - Close fight, Ali was lucky to get the nod, though I didn't score it.
Spinks 1 - Another loss to Ali
Spinks 2 - Haven't seen
Holmes - Obviously a loss to Ali
Berbick - Final loss

My take on the fights I have seen in this list.
Tunney Hunsacker - Haven't seen it Lets say he won it though W
Doug Jones - Close I would be close to say a draw, but Ali was dominant at times so lets say he wins W
Frazier 1 - Lost L
Frazier 2 - As much as I wanted it for Joe, Ali won it. W
Frazier 3 - Won. W
Rudi Lubbers - Boring, but ALI won. W
Joe Bugner - Which fight ? Ali won both however, Bugner did little. W
Ken Norton 1 - Lost. L
Ken Norton 2 - Close.. I would say this was a draw if memory serves. D
Ken Norton 3 - It was close, though Norton won. L
Jimmy Young -I had it 142-145 Young. Close. Lost
Alfredo Evangelista - Boring and lack lustre but Ali won. W
Earnie Shavers - Close, Ali rallied well late. I had Ali JUST ahead. W
Spinks 1 - Ali lost. L
Spinks 2 - Close, Ali JUST won. W
Holmes -LOst
Berbick - Lost
So what is that 9W-7L-1D

I liked Collins. It sucks that he is no longer here.

As did I, actually. He changed quite drastically & swiftly some time back, though. BoxBuzz recently told me it's happened before with him. That, & a certain other incident make me wonder about his mental fragility (& that's not a veiled dig, but a genuine statement). Fear not, though --- he is back after an extended absence. He got himself kicked.
