A night on the red wine allowed me to think straight and I have a question to ask some of the promotors of Aussie fighters.
You spend far too much effort trying to protect a fighters record by mismatching them against pastry cooks and taxi drivers.
Don't you realise that title fights, for want of a better term, are normally given to those fighters who have a losing record. just take a look at some of the upcoming title fights in the schedule.
The best thing you can do for your fighter is occasionally match him with someone who, has not only a chance of winning, but also a chance to teach your boy something along the way.
then if you lose enough fights the IBO, WBA or WBC will come knocking on your door, just as we do for regional title opponents for our boys.
