I probably sound like a broken record here but the intrusive ads on this site have just about killed any desire for me to come here anymore. I was researching earlier and literally every link I clicked brought up a new popup. There were so many I simply stopped closing them out and before long I had over 40 popup windows in the background (and this was for some fairly simple record cross checking). If this wasnt bad enough I have to turn my volume down right now just to post this message because I keep hearing advertisements play on a continuos loop. I know Im not the only one because Ive been seeing more and more people complaining on other websites about this lately. I understand the need to make money but if you harass your users to death arent you cutting your own throat?

I get nothing but the occasional pop up. It is usually for some Men's Health Magazine

Do you have a pop up blocker?

I've never gotten an add on here. I just have a basic firewall protection with Firefox & Explorer. You must have something off.

I've never had pop-ups in here.

(Bazza pops up every now and again but that is a bonus)

..don't get them. have a mac with firefox. mac people in general are more intelligent, have better table manners and have more social skills than pc people.

On the downside, Mac owners are pretentious, self-aggrandising to the point of psychotic delusion, & drink only the most affeminate-sounding coffee.

..irene..i make a lot of spelling errors myself...so i have to ask if affeminate is one. or is it a word with which i am not familiar. plus, i didn't know coffee made and sounds....i thought it just sat their in its cup ...

a-ffeminate......would this loosely mean "sans femininity"? the second f is what is stumping me.....I can't figure out the origin of the "ff" syntax....not latin...not greek......any guesses? Or is this a powder of some sort? like a bicarbonate? But then the "i" becomes rather mysterious. if it was a "nn" with an "a" it would be perhaps more though less innate.

I'm stumped.

i believe irene was looking for effeminate. i'm also a mac owner. i'm not sure if there is anything i would agree with him on.

For those on Internet Explorer:

Tools> Internet Options> Privacy tab> Turn on Pop Up Blocker> Click 'Settings'> Set 'filter level' to HIGH> Problem solved

I use Firefox and never have any problems.

Still its 2000 times better here than that shitty little website Doghouseboxing. Their engine is slow unlike here and they have 5000 adverts and when i askd the whore in charge over there to do something he got abusive. Since than their readership is down to 9 members.
