He was more suited for amateurs. Very slick fighter, not much power. He arguably beat Pedroza in that draw. I don't know much about his personal life. He could have burned out after so many amateur fights, but his desire to be a great pro never really seemed to be there. McGuigan kicked his ass.

He just wilted against McGuigan. Barry couldn't get to him in the early rounds but the body attack just took all the fight out of him.

He was quick and slick. He was rated in KO magazines top 12 p4p fighters when he fought McGuigan.

He's one of those top contenders who, whilst not great, you have to be a bit tasty to be able to beat.

Very talented fighter who was one of the fastest fighters in the world at one point.However, he never did fight the other top contenders of his time, i.e LaPorte and Jackie Beard, and in the end, suffered because of it.
