You read it a lot here. "He should go to America".

Which always follows a defeat by a domestic hope.

Ash Theophane has done done it, Craig McEwan has done it, Amir Khan has done it, Audley tried it, I think ALex Arthur, Matt Macklin are others who have done some time in the US gyms. And speaking to Wayne Elcock - he does it every year, spends some weeks in the gyms over there.

Does it help?

We revered the job done with Kevin Mitchell when he picked apart Prescott...then scorned his prep and lack of focus in the Katsidas fight....

There is the promotional side as well as the developmental side. McEwan and Theophane are arguably working hard for opportunities because they're not ticket-sellers in the States, as Brits, nor have they built ticket buying support here either.

Does the benefit outweigh the harm done to them commericially, and it this theory about American gyms really true. Are the trainers really any better?
