people who will of seen my posts will know that im not Degales biggest fan but i think its his personality as much as anything that im not keen on.Ive watched a few of his fights back and ive changed my opinion on him some what.I think he is quite a talented fighter when i study him closely,i think its just his technique that puts me off abit!I dont think he's as gifted as say Dirrell and Ward but thats no shame as both of them have a ton of ability.Whats everyone elses thoughts?

I think it's way too early to judge whether he will be up there with the likes of Ward and Dirrell who are in Ward's case elite and in Dirrell's case world class.

However, I've been very impressed with him so far. I think he punches hard, has fast hands, a decent defence and bags of confidence. All the basics are there and I will be very interested to see how he does against Carl Dilks next month which is definitely a big step up for him. If he gets through that one I'd like to see him in there with one of the Liverpool guys. Not Paul Smith yet as that's too soon but someone like Tony Quigley or Tony Dodson would be a great test and one which I'd expect him to come through.

I think Dodson would be a good test actually as whilst he has a number of flaws there is no question that Dodson can punch and it will be interesting to see how Degales chin stands up to that power. I remember Carl Froch even said in the interview immediately after his fight with Dodson that Dodson hit a lot harder than he thought he would and if Froch is saying that with his granite chin then clearly the power is there. Would be a good match-up.
