Didn't realise Gary McCarthur was on the verge of an eliminator, I boxed him in my last fight and wonld'nt of knowing. I got a real shit write up in Boxing news for that fight considering i had two week notice. Good luck to him

Even so Rees was a wba champ a weight above&anyone who knows boxing knows he was fighting at a weight above his proper weight,so im not surprised hes rated so high...

Great news about Lindsay vs Simpson/Smith, the winner of that is bound to become European mandatory aswell.
Lindsay is currently ranked #1, Simpson is ranked #3, and Smith although unranked in the European rankings is 14th in the EU. The #11 in the EU is ranked 16th in the full European rankings so Smith is just outside those.

Looks like you're going to be going down a very hard road Swifty, would be some ask to beat all of Simpson, Lindsay and Yefimovich within a year.

what do people think of the british title eliminator at light welter between steve williams and nigel wright? i think this is a good fight

Murray v Rees stands out a mile. The nomination has probably come too late for it to actually happen, with Murray moving onto the EBU title. Love to see it happen though.

I can't see anything involving Herbie Hide happening.
