Despite rumours circulating that European Middleweight champion Howard Eastman is to be stripped of his title, his promoter Mick Hennessy has denied these claims and said the Jorge Sendra fight will take place in the new year.

This is good news for Eastman, as the WBC strap maintains a high ranking with the WBC organisation. Something he will need to ever get within touching distance of Bernard Hopkins.
