Pascal v Dawson....... i hope Pascal can do it, he seems like a lovely guy, i managed to chat to him at the froch v dirrell weigh in.

i think dawson will win the fight narrowly, but pascal will get the decision, 1 thing for sure pascal will bring it!

I think tonight we will see the void between the current titlists and Dawson.

Theres a reason Calzaghe and Hopkins wouldn't fight him and both would easily win a wide decision against Pascal. 117-111 / 118-110 I predict

pascal will come to get it thats for sure.....im hoping this is going to be a cracking little fight....

I've backed Dawson to win on points, I really can't see anyway Pascal can win this fight even though I really like him as a boxer.

it's interesting because dawson has the skills but fights with very little energy. he uses more energy dipping to the canvas than countering his opponents.

and while pascal isn't as fine tuned as dawson, he fights with far more energy, ferocity and determination.

i hope pascal can rise to the occasion and overwhelm dawson, whose defensiveness might cost him away from home. he'll have to end up going all-out, digging deep, will pascal. i think he's a good enough athlete, and a tough enough guy, to do it.

I think Dawson will clearly do more than Pascal. Hopefully there is no home cooking. Pascal has speed and power, but poor defence and very little boxing ability. He also fights in spots too much. I think Dawson should outbox for most of the contest, but there will be spells of danger for the American, who does have some chin issues.

I'm a bit upset because at the exact same time tonight the extremely exciting Ji Hoon Kim is going to fight Miguel Vasquez for the IBF lightweight title.

Very poor performance from Dawson. Why was he so afraid to throw straight left hands? He had Pascal in major trouble when he finally let his hands go, but caught an unfortunate break. Pascal fought a very good fight and fully deserved the win, but Dawson was completely flat. I guess Froch will have a lot to say in the coming days.....

Felt a little bad for Dawson, he had Pascal in quite a bit of bother before the clash of heads.

I'd say that 12th round would've gone down in a similar fashion to the first Bute/Andrade finale with Pascal barely surviving. Maybe the doctor was thinking more along the lines of Froch/Taylor when he made the call.

That came to my mind as well. Pascal was in big trouble and Dawson finally got the courage to let his hands go. I had a feeling the doctor would stop the fight. I don't think Dawson would have been seriously injured if he were allowed to fight on for another few minutes.

Props to Pascal though, he had a solid game plan and took full advantage of his opportunity, unlike the tentative Dawson. I heard there is a rematch clause. Despite scoring the fight for Pascal, I would actually favour Dawson to win if they fought again. He probably realizes now what would have happened if he let his hands go more.

Froch shouldnt say shit but we know his big mouth will be in overdrive in the upcoming days
