These are some robberies that come to mind. I'm not sure about being the worst of all time, but they were certainly very bad decisions.

Casamayor/Cruz- Not one person aside from the judges saw a close fight, let alone a Casamayor win. Graham Houston said this was the worst decision he had ever seen.

Foreman-Briggs- Big George clearly beat the much younger man. Foreman was lucky to get a decision over Axel Schulz, so perhaps it was karma.

Ali-Norton III- This fight has been discussed on here, and it was obvious Norton did more than enough to win.

Augustus-Burton- One of the worst decisions of the last few years. Atlas publicly blasted an official after the decision.

Lewis-Holyfield I- In the aftermath of the fight, even the judge that scored it 115-115 said he felt sorry for Lewis.

Jones-Park- It was an amateur bout, but it still goes down as the worst decision I have ever seen.

Maybe not the absolute worst decisions, but the three that left me most disgusted....

Ellis-Patterson....one of my most disappointing moments as a young sports fan. Floyd was a big hero of mine.
Ali-Norton III
Hearns-Leonard II

Ali-Young was disgusting, too, but I anticipated what was fixing to go down before the decision was announced. With a lucrative third Ali-Norton match on the horizon, I figured there was not much chance Young was going to get the call. Ali-Young was shown on live TV.

Leon Spinks vs. Jesse Burnett, that's the first time I've seen that fight get light on these forums. (Same w/ Conteh/Burnett & Page/Chaplin - I'll have to give 'em a watch).
You could have scored every round for Burnett against Spinks and he lost a wide UD. One of the most hard luck and poorly managed fighters in history. he would routinely fight the best in the world on a couples days notice. The British crowd let loose with boo's from the draw in the Conteh fight. You don't see that every day from a home crowd audience.

Page probably won 5 rds in both fights combined against Chaplin. Clancy and Ryan were complaining about the first decision and then in the rematch they did him dirty again.

Ocasio/Dokes was another awful decision in a heavyweight fight from that era. That was unusual because Ocasio got screwed in Puerto Rico.

The same ref who counted Foreman out at, '9' in Zaire.

I had Ellis_Patterson about even, having watched it many times. No problem saying it was wrong but to me no robbery. I wanted Floyd to win and he seemed more than capable of doing so, but got out-worked at times, the commentary was awful and didnt help the perception.

Whitaker-Ramirez was terrible. Whitaker-Chavez as well was a very poor decision. Also calling Durans shot against Buchanan legal was a terrible decision not only was it a good few seconds after the bell it waspainfully low, Duran should of been disqualified there

Regardless of how you scored it personally,if I am not mistaken, one of the judges in the first Pacquiao-Marquez fight scored the first round 10-7 instead of 10-6 wich would have given Pacquiao the win. A popular one would be the De La Hoya-Trinidad fight. One that made me go "WHAT THE FVCK WAS THAT!" was the Casamayor-Cruz bout. That was a travesty. Another one that lingers is the Felix Sturm-De La Hoya fight. I originally had it close(When I saw it years ago) but after rewatching it I thought Sturm clearly won. I saw De La Hoya win 2,maybe 3 rounds clearly. That was Sturm`s fight and I chuckled watching it as De La Hoya tried to take it to Sturm but couldn`t get him to budge. Hopkins and his people were watching t.v. and everyone was silent. I watched it with British announcers the second time and they were much less biased than the HBO crew(suprise there) but still gave Oscar rounds he didn`t win.

I'm guessing you didn't chuckle too loudly when Tszyu took it forward & couldn't get Hatton to budge, twenty pounds south of where De La Hoya tried to push Sturm.

Tszyu didn`t press the fight too often but I wanted Hatton to win. I know you know I like Tszyu but at the time I thought that if anyone was going to beat Tszyu and carry the torch I thought it should be Hatton. Tszyu recognized that since he couldn`t handle the pressure like he used to,that meant for him, that it was time to hang them up. I am not too sure what you are trying to get at of your comment though. De La Hoya got a gift, just settle down.

"I tried everything to keep him from coming forward..." - Tszyu, in his bio.

Seems to me that De La Hoya was the braver fighter, looking at their careers, so Tszyu fans shouldn't be laughing for someone trying to reach the Moon while their lad (great fighter though he may've been) stuck to horses-&-carts.

Louis/Walcott, Ramirez/Whitaker, Chavez/Whitaker are definite robberies where the true winner was not awarded.

I did score Whitaker as the winner against DLH, but, I wouldn't go as far as ranking it near the top for the most erroneous decisions.

Toney/Tiberi is a solid one.

And I've yet to watch Forrest/Quartey or Leonard/Hearns II - I'll give those a watch as well.

Here are some that haven't been mentioned yet:

Nelson/Fenech I

Briggs/Botha

Martinez/Cintron

I've heard that Bobby Pacquiao/Carlos Hernandez was supposed to be a disgraceful robbery.

EDIT:

Holyfield/Ruiz I - I scored that 117-111, John Ruiz
Holyfield/Ruiz II - I scored that 113-113
Holyfield Ruiz III - I scored that 116-112, Evander Holyfield (I'm not sure actually what my score was - could've swore I wrote it down somewhere - but I remember having EH clearing ahead)

Haha, its eems fitting that for such an awful trilogy of fights, the Holyfield-Ruiz tango had bogus decisions as well, the but final tally of 1-1-1 is fairly accurate.

Considering that Martinez got robbed of a KO win AND the decision vs Cintron, that's got to be one of the worst.

Tszyu was always an honest man. Just because I like Tszyu I shouldn't be laughing at someone trying to reach the moon? I have always respected Oscar and his ambitions as a fighter. I said I chuckled at him trying to bully Sturm. I chuckled sir,it`s not as if I thought his overall performance against Sturm was laughable. He tried hard and when he initially moved up to 160 I thought he may had a slight chance. Oscar had balls no doubt about it. Just relax Irene.

Maybe I'm guilty here of the same sensitivity regarding De La Hoya I've accused Alp of with Ali. Fair enough.

Sidenote --- I saw Tszyu at Miranda Westfield yesterday. He was dressed head-to-toe in velvet, & was carrying a man-purse. What's that all about?

Johnny Lewis came out with a book recently and he apparently reckons Tszyu ripped him off to the tune of about $1m over the years. Lewis was getting 10% (as distinct fromn the standard 30%) yet Tszyu would arrange separate cheques then pay Johnny 10% of only one of them. If true...what a prick's act

p.s. I've stayed across the road from the Westfield at Miranda a couple of times for work.....and lost the car in the carpark ever single time :witzend: pudendum of a place, it is

Whitaker-Trinidad

Come on, Whitaker clowned Trinidad the entire fight. Felix could barely land a glove on him. Pernell was so great, shit, I wish he was still fighting, because he could literally beat Pacquiao and Mayweather in the same night, then Sergio Martinez the next night. Sweet Pea shouldn't have retired, he would've exposed Jones, Toney, and Hopkins at MW, but alas, his drug addiction made him so punch drunk that you'd have thought Larry Holmes laid a beating on him while he was high. Pernell pwns all!!!111!!11!!!!!one!!!11111!!!!eleventy!!1!!1!
