Titles for the Welterweight season? Have your say.

This season I propose that we abolish the Regional Titles they have been an epic failure from last season.
The titles did not mean anything, and they were not defended consistently. Not to mention the fact that there was a fair amount of bitching (myself included in that) about the selective fights from the Regional Champs.
I propose that eliminate the Regional Titles and include other titles.
Maybe we could try out having the IBO and WBF titles...
We could have them on par with the WBU title and only fighters ranked 20 and below can fight for them.
I believe it would bring a better interest for the unranked fighters.
Opinions? :)

I didn't defend against Castillo and Battino because they were on loosing runs and weren't even ranked. Not to mention the fact that Castillo
never gave Famechon his rematch.
Every other fight during Kilbanes reign was justifiable. This was all pointed out to you the last time you brought this up.
Give me two minuites and I'll repost it

We won it against Dixon in week 13

Next week
Ok
We are willing to wait until next week to make our first NABA title defense. Kilbane will have a non-title contest against Wayne McCullough.
Baby Arizmendi can take Wayne McCullough's place this week if he has a change of heart. The Title offer remains open

Week 15
We called out R Marquez
JDC wrote:ben k wrote:Eder Jofre calls out Kilbane, If Kilbane beats Jofre consider Marquez Vs Kilbane signed for next week.
Ok. We consider this a fair situation. You have yourself a deal. Kilbane commits to the gym

We had to put ARIZMENDI off a week because of this
Week 16

Week 18
JDC wrote:Kilbane last week agreed to rematch BABY ARIZMENDI
Morales and Battalino are on the horizon, but we do think Battalino needs to stop getting K'd the Fvck out by Nicky Cook before he deserves a shot.
Win or loose this week Kilbane will give these two fighters a shot at some point in the near future.
Arizmendi agreed to fight someone else, so we immediately accepted Morales.
We conduct our business well and you having a problem with any of these matchups just shows you up as the bitch you are

Hell we even gave Morales a 3rd fight in week 20 after two close results

I wasn't accusing you of anything JDC... Our scrupple from last season is all forgot about and forgiven for my part.
My issue is with the Regional Titles themselves. If we are going to have Regional Titles - they should be defended
every week.
Just like the World titles - it's risk and reward.
Last season, being a Regional Champ meant that after you won the title, you could sit on it for weeks...
Not to mention the fact you could handpick opponents.
A World Champ as well know, Must fight every week and Must fight a top tenner.
I would like to see World Titles such IBO and WBF introduced, maybe they will be held lower regard to the WBU, but it would be ideal for the lower ranked fighters.
I say we should just try it for this one season, see how it goes.

I agree regionals should be scrapped. I'd also agree with one more belt like the IBO being brought in.

I agree IBO is better.
Can defend against anyone in the top 25 sound good?

How about if there were regional eliminators. That way last season Castillo would have fought Battino as the two who were most interested?

I don't care one way or the other about regional titles, but what I would like to see is TF making these kind of threads (if he feels it's needed), not some jumped-up noob.
Week 1 stable war, Crease. Take your fecking medicine.

How about:
IBO for fighters 11-19
WBU for fighters 20 and above
Adds a little something extra for those nearly there fighters.

Well that's a bit much, there should be a gap between "The Big Four" and the IBO...
I would suggest that the IBO (and WBF maybe?) be introduced as sister titles to the WBU...
And similar rules should be brought in for them...
For example:
The IBO (& WBF?) title(s) cannot be fought for by a fighter in the top 20...
Remember the WBU is top 15.
That's just what I think, as ever the majority will decide.

I'm not fussed on who fights for titles, but I don't think Regional Titles worked.

But doing things this way means that the new title is rated higher than the WBU title.
It shouldn't happen that way.

IBO is better than WBU in the real world, why not in the Sim?

See. What happened to jeff was so bad people don't even remember him.
The Alliance never faded away either.
Where did the greatest sim tournament of all time come from?
Who knocked out Rafael Marquez?
Who is the greatest lightweight of all time?
I'll tell you what. The answer to these questions all have ties to The Alliance.
