Anyone got any comments to make on the fight at the manchester velodrome on 17th september.. kays has flown up the british ranks in the last year to number 7 now.. what do people think about him competing for british honours.. also brian rose on the bill in his comeback fight after the maxwell DISASTER.. any comments guys?

I liked watching Davies, and thought he might do something, but nobody can win tough fight after tough fight and that has been the Welshman's schedule and he looks battle-worn. I'm pretty sure that Dai once held the hard-hitting Jamie McDonnell to a draw, the current European bantamweight champion, but Kays is the pick today.

Jon Kays should win it, if Kays could dig a bit more he'd be great cos he's got good boxing skills, just doesn't seem to have enough power which will trouble him as he moves up in class.

totally agree just missing that power. i no personally thats 1 thing he's really working on. looks a great undercard really looking 4ward 2 this show

yeah he looked strong but dai davies out boxed him every round lucky punch won that for jon kays

Good to see Kays get a KO win, hopefully he has improved his power in the gym and maybe the longer fights will suit him too.

KAYS bossed the fight from the opening bell dia just jab n moved kays pushed on n didnt give davies a min's rest. how can u say it frustrated him??? he kept his cool thruv out the fight n countered dia's every shot.. r u 4 real??????? lucky shot????? jon worked his way in behind a nice jab n hit dia with a mean right hook n it was good night god bless. the ref should of called the fight off after the 1st knock down n saved davies further punishment!!! LISTEN M8 its obvisous ur a close davies fan ur boy was beaten n beaten good!!!!!! enough said

Another great show from vip great to see Brian rose back. Johnny Kays boxed the best ive seen and will give anyone in his weight a fight.

I thought karl place and terry flannigan were excellent. Credit to their trainer Steve Maylett
I dont think flannigan had a fantastic am record but everytime i see him box pro he gets better everytime and was awesome last night.

was a really really good show.. really happy for brian was a tough night for him boxing a guy from the same gym as maxwell but he used his boxing skills to dominate a tough kid.. carruthers will spring a few surprises in the near future.. and jonny kays boxed beautifully dominated the fight from round 1 really happy hes got his hands on tht title after it falling through on 2 other occasions.
