Aussie's own Damien Hooper had won gold in the middleweight division at the Youth Olympic Games in Singapore a couple of days ago.

Congratulations, IMO a big achievement for an Aussie amateur!

Amateurs need a good publicity/public relations officer. He/she would need to hammer media with pressers day in day out.

Amature only have 3 x 3 min rounds to impress, well the adults its 3min. The pros think they have all day till the last punch looking for a K O. Amatures that go to the Pros are allway better to watch just check it out.

The difference between an amateur 3x3 or 4x2 round fight and a pro 8-12x3 round fight is like the difference between a 200m-400m running race and a 5000m running race. The ams' have no time to set the fight up, it's all action right from the get go. It can make for some very exciting fights, particularly with the more experienced and seasoned ams.

Was always my problem, I always seemed to spend most of the 1st round sussing my opponent out.
