I'm balls deep on the Martinez stoppage, been topping up for weeks from odds of 5/2 down to 7/4 going to put another 200 on it tomorrow.

Smith fight will definitley go the distance and that one's a pick-em so that's a decent bet, but honestly cant see Burns going the 12 with Rocky.

if burns boxes cautiously for the 1st 6 and rocky starts to gas a bit, he will lose some of his brutal power, burns has a very good chin imo. it's a big ask but i think ricky can do it

Yeah, I sort of agree with that. I gave it a miss though because I've got a feeling Smith will get the stoppage.

Martinez TKO and Smith UD pays a tasty 21/1.

yeh he is relentless but late in that fight you can see his punching power isn't what it was, that's burns only hope is surviving the first 6, very good fighter is martinez offensivly but not much defence.

With SkyBet aswell mate.

I'm lumping on Smith to win but will probably have a sneaky fiver on that double.

Burns to win by UD is not as unlikely as some are making it seem. Martinez is an average champion. He was clearly losing to and hurt by Cook during the first three rounds of their bout and Feider Viloria was fightiing on almost even terms with him for eight rounds. Burns has the style to cause Martinez some problems and with the fight being held in Scotland, it would not be shocking if Burns had the judges on his side. I think Martinez will win, but I would not be stunned if Burns caused an upset.

he certainly did the business on Cook I was there it came right out the blue. I expect Burns to show balls, intelligence and maturity but this is the man that got scythed down 3 times by Johanneson and 12 rounds is a long..LONG time.

I hope Burns pulls it off for himself and British boxing, but this bet looks rubbish.

Simpson is also a tough son of a gun. He pitched up on Teesside and was too strong for another up and comer Paul Truscott if memory serves me right.

wouldn't touch it with a bargepole.

People always underestimate how hard a puncher Johannesson was.He was at his peak then and at Leeds Town Hall.Ricky was also a lot younger and less experienced. He showed tremendous courage to get up three times from some massive shots.A few years later,at home, inspired its not inconcieveable he could beat this guy on points. He doesnt fight like Cook either and certainly wont be rushing in if he feels hes doing well.

I'd be surprised in the Smith-Simpson fight gets a UD - it's well matched, and if it DID go to points, I can't see all the judges thinking the same way.

Exactly the same logic for Burns. You think he can win on all three scorecards?
