Hi people,
I just thought that i would let you know that Macca underwent brain surgery on Saturday night and had piece of his skull removed - i wont go into details as i dont think thats fair on him or his family but it goes without saying that he will never box again. As a close friend of Darrens i am happy to say that he is now out of the critical ward and is doing well.
I would like to wish him all the best in what is no doubt the biggest fight of his life but one i know he will win!!!!
All the Best Mac

Over the last 2/3 weeks Macca has been sparring with Franke Gavin and Nathan Cleverlay - The surgeons presume that it has come from a blow to the head but nothing is comformed yet and tests are ongoing.
Im sure it will be out in the press soon.
Im hoping to see Darren in the next day or so, i will post then and let you all know how he his.

Aye, it was reported in BN news too. Gavin was on here saying he didn't spar him cos of the size difference etc etc. I can't be bothered to find the thread.
Really hope he gets better soon. Was it a sudden thing or?
