Tyson Fury is no Mike Tyson!!!!!!

is it just me or does tyson fury think somehow hes a new mike tyson? i mean his shorts are usually black with tyson (in white) printed on the front!!!!!! now hes a good boxer but come on hes no mike tyson personally i think hes a bit to cock sure and seems to be disrespecting other heavyweight opposition...what do you guys think? will he be found out once he fight better fighters (other than mcdermott)

I think he was kind of named after Iron Mike, so I'm sure he considers him a hero. But besides that yeah, I don't think anyone has ever really mentioned the two together.

i know, i think the more i see of him he seems to think because his names tyson he can use that name to market himself, he should be his own fighter,....and your right there mike would finish him in seconds but it makes me cringe when i see him with them shorts on that have been deliberatly made to mimick mike tysons old day shorts :)

Oh I see what you mean. I disagree though. I think its more paying respect to his hero. He never claimed to be the new Tyson. He has different style, abilities, and obviously size. A big man can't fight like Mike Tyson. So yeah, I think you're reading it wrong, but thats just my opinion.

He needs to stay away from Burger King and commit himself to the sport fully or he's never going to achieve anything. He needs a LOT of work before he's anywhere near world level, but I do think people are a bit hard on him as he's onl 22. In heavyweight terms that is nothing these days. The only fighter in recent history further along than him at that age is Boytsov.

Yeah his middle name is tyson - i've forgotten his first name. But he's from a gypsie boxing family so tyson was one of their heros.

I can't believe Rich "Super" Power went all 8 rounds with him. He had never been past 4 and had never looked good past 2 to me. I was expecting a KO win for Fury. Rich Power deserves a ton of props for going over there on 5 days notice and giving Fury hell.

I'd love to get over that way. I'd be willing to fight somebody on 1 of N2Shapes cards in NZ. On an undercard of a Chauncy Welliver fight would be perfect. Can I get a match with Paul Briggs? Bwahahahahaha I can take him!
