Degale will beat Dilks easily

Or at least it will appear fairly easy.....

Carl is a solid fighter, and i expected him to beat Adamu and his duly did....only to get robbed by the blind mice at ringside. He also seems a very decent fella from his posts on here.

But i do think this one is about levels and Degale has the potential to operate on a far higher one than Carl. Sure he can be cocksure and rub people up the wrong way, but his talent is undeniable. He's slick, quick, accurate and his punch power has increased massively now he's sitting down and throwing punches the professional way. The British scene at 168 is hot as hell with 5 genuinely world class performers at the weight in Froch, Degale, Groves, Smith and Magee.

If Degale is to reach anywhere near the level i expect him too, then he should get past Dilks without too much difficulty. I think he will stop him, but even if he doesn't get the stoppage i expect he'll win every round. No disrespect to Carl but i just don't think he has the attributes required to genuinely threaten Degale. But if i'm wrong then by all means i'm certainly here to be held accountable after putting this thread up.....lol

However i won't be wrong, Degale comfortably for me

Got to be honest i didn't think it'd be that comfortable, more a 3-5 type job for Degale. It was an early stoppage but think the referee took a common sense approach in that Degale was running right through Dilks and he hadn't even started to plant his feet and go into 2nd gear. Was only going to get worse so the referee spared Carl from having to absord any real punishment. Sure Carl feels fresh as a daisy today and bitterly disappointed but no shame in the loss, it is about levels and Degale has genuine world class potential. But Carl can drop down a couple levels and still have success.

Degale did look sharp, but doesn't tell us much. Just wasn't tested so we learn nothing new. We know he's talented, fast and has heavy enough hands, but won't find out much more till he really takes a step up.

It'd be fantastic if the Groves fight was made next. A real intriguing battle of two fighters who i believe are both realistic world class prospects. Just wonder what type of terms Warren will be prepared to offer George to make the December date....he sounded serious last night, but we'll see.
