Is Kell Brook ready for a World Title Fight

kell brook has all the right tools to be a great world level fighter but does he still need more experience and has he been active enough in the past ? personally dont think he should have skipped european level.

I don't think he is. We didn't learn too much more about him tonight and he couldn't really get to Jennings, missed with a lot of his shots. If I was guiding him i'd take a bit more time before stepping him up too far. He has the tools, as does Cleverley, but both probably need to take careful steps rather than jumping into deep waters. IMHO anyway.

what about a european title fight with mathew hatton, think kell would beat him personally, he didnt look great tonight but dont think jennings gave him any trouble.

he'd destroy Matthew Hatton. Jennings would beat Hatton readily too.
Despite the belt Hatton is a step down from Jennings quality wise.

i like jenning think he should carry on at british level maybe like you said a fight with mathew hatton as dont think hatton would fight kell, jennings is already booked to fight for the british title in a few months against john o'donnell think he'll win that with ease.

i think he should have a few international fights first before he challenges for a world title. got to say though wtf is naz saying he wants to see kell brook in with manny pacquiao for i thought he was his friend, cant be much of a fried if he wants him to fight manny cause manny would smash kell to bits

As I put in my report, he's in a bit of a strange situation in that although he's been stepping up the level of his opposition, no one is hanging around or doing anything in order to test him - which isn't his fault.
A couple of matches against decent level operators would be good though, if they can, balls to it, just go for the top.

Craig Watson or Jon Odonnell is what he needs next.

I've always rated Watson - very underrated guy and another nice lad. But it's hardly a progressive fight, is it? Brook really needs to face someone who is really up there, Euro level or globally.
As for O'Donnell, Brook would smash him to bits if in the mood.

That's the plan mate. Word is, they're trying to get him in some more bother so he gets another tag fitted. Did him the world of good.

probly will be for the vacant wbo, brook will be one of our best world champions imo.

he's not ready. the fights with jennings and bienias proved almost nothing and they were not quality rounds. all these on and off fights and the fights themselves produced nothing. thye should have got him in there at least with an aggressor who could make him look good, at least so it was watchable. brook is a big talent, has the right connections (FW wanting all the world champs he can get post-khan; WBO opportunities), things will probably fall into place for him - but if anyone's convinced RIGHT NOW i'll be surprised.
why the big fuss pre fight re brook-jennings? jennings had already run from cotto in an enormously negative performance. that fight must have pulled the rug from under him, showing him a whole new level of boxing. he even wanted a rematch, at one point. did ppl think he was going to go all out on brook?
actually, i take it back. brook's ready for manny pac, and he's such a big name that pac will come to him.

but can they put him in tough fights when he's just won an elim for the title?
clearly the plan is hope for pac to vacate (if he isn't on the verge of, already) and then fight the top contender, at home.
who would be box if the title was vacant?

the fight didnt prove anything last night,i think mike was getting in to the fight from the 3 and 4 rounds it could have been anybodys.i think a rematch is in order to be honest why not get the vacant wbo title on the line?

brook was still outboxing him in the 3rd and 4th and not breaking a sweat, then in the 5th he unleashed a huge combination and looked like jennings didnt wanna be there. then the fight got stopped, how was that anybody's fight?

I wasn't impressed last night, but have been impressed on other nights.
So would he be ready for a world title shot? Depends on who he fights, now as far as i know Souleymane M'baye holds a interim version of the WBA title, and i'd pick Kell over him.

but kells fighting for the WBO title not the WBA, i think he will be in against alfonso gomes who is ranked 8th by the WBO think kell would beat him, but really it should be Mike Jones who is ranked 3rd but no way would warren risk that still i think kell would beat him also, maybe even a fight with Vitaliy Demyanenko he is ranked in the top 5 but it will probs be some one old and on their way out or very over rated apponent thats what warren likes

jennings is pretty hard to hit, hard to look good against, brook would have caught up with him in the next few rounds i think, did brook actually take a shot?? apart from a few jabs in 5 rounds! most people thought jennings would come close to beating him when in reality he outboxed him with ease.

To answer the question in the thread title - no!!!
But I do agree with many people who think Kel Brook will go onto bigger and better things - the lad is clearly very talented.
World titles - not just yet - good stern European opponents would be a good move.
