ExCeL Arena: What's so bad about it?

As we all know, FW plans to hold his big December show at the ExCeL Arena. I've never been, but someone on here was saying it was awful the other day. So what's so bad about it in terms of fitness for purpose as a boxing venue?

Never had a problem with it myself, the floor seats are a bit poop, but it has a good atmosphere anytime I've been there.

I know others complain about not being able to move around between fights as security block off one of the routes out to (say) the bar area as the boxers come in and leave a certain way. But it's only for a few minutes I found, + there's an alternative way out.

I'm biased tho' too as I can walk home from there.

I dopn't mind it either - the tiered seating is ok, you get a good view.

I have never had a problem getting served at the makeshift bars - the bar area is roomy which is better than the packed concourses at the MEN / O2.

My only grype is that if you want t go for a pint / pee its a long walk back from your seat which means you can often miss fights on the undercard.

Travel there can be a pain and the catering is poor but you don't go to boxing for the food!

I think it can be made twice as big as that.

Would have thought Wembley arena would be better but maybe this is already booked?

It was 5 thousand seater for the last Prizefighter Heavyweight show there, and I'm sure they can even make it more than that.

I think Hatton-Oliveira had nearly 10,000 there

I didn't mind it and had floor seats too. Once we found the massive bar area it was even better and as someone mentioned a better atmosphere then packed venues.
